I haven’t used Pioneer since the 90’s so I’m not up to speed on your unit but there is a very noticeable difference on my last Denon and Marantz rigs.

Blimey, look at that clipping in Empire and Jedi! Just goes to show that louder = better judging by all the mooks who love those tracks

But I'm verr confuse about ANH, why are there two 2011 mixes shown?

There are two different scales being shown, the second one is the default from Adobe Audition, which is more correct, and the first one is zoomed out a little for a more "Apples to Apples" comparison with the newer tracks.

The various mixes final waveform do not hard clip by exceeding full scale and the amplitude has been increased to be closer to full scale just shy by -0.50db.

ESB and ROTJ are more aggressively compressed, resulting in LOUDER tracks but with less dynamic range and a more fatiguing audio experience.

The Atmos & the new DTS-HDMA 7.1 tracks in general sound more dynamic and less fatiguing than the 2011 6.1 tracks.

Last night watched the UHD of ROTJ last night and was very happy with the soundtrack. Well, except for that crappy clipped to shit sound effect in the surround channels with the Praxis Explosion, WTF.

Even though I had the playback level much louder than I ever felt comfortable with the 6.1 track it was less fatiguing and did not sound nearly as chunky or bloated.
