WB fixed the Matrix green tint once it hit 4K Blu-ray, so I hope they do the same with Fellowship.

I personally like the tint on FOTR. It just bugs me that the other two films look different. That's the OCD side of me.

I understand the issue fine. This has been beaten to death before. The colors of Fellowship on the EE are consistent to the other two. The EE are different than what was released in the theater as a way for the director to do more for fans that wanted more story but also retain the unaltered theatrical versions.

Baron you clearly do not understand the issue if you think the colour grading is the same across all three releases. It very obviously isn't.

My point is this has been discussed over and over. I am aware of the differences with the theatrical disks. I am also aware that people posted pictures of the EE being green with green snow and green sky that was not representative of the releases. I am also aware that there was a possibility of a ultra set with even more footage from all six films coming out, but with studio meddling and fan bickering, that will likely never happen, so keep on complaining. I will enjoy my EE of all six films. I can even read the books for the umpteenth time. The sky is whatever color I want it in that version.

Hope so! I can still enjoy the film, but I think the snowy mountains look better without the IG filter. Lol

Didn't mean to start a debate. Just out of the loop on this hot button issue. Will continue to monitor the situation when the 4k set hits.

Problem is its a crazy hot debate among enthusiasts. With the EE FOTR blu ray the best way to look at it is watch the credits at the end. At 1 point during the credits the green tint actually goes away. You get a very good glimpse of what it should look like vs what it does.

With the Rumored 4K discs fans are hoping it is fixed but who knows as it has not been officially announced yet as coming to 4K with HDR

Theres a very big thread on the subject in the 4K section of the forums where a lot of the technical aspects are covered. Hope this helps.
