The day Paramount jumps ship is the day that I will know for sure that I will never buy a SD DVD again. I have only done so once since the purchase of my PS3. And that was to be expected (Transformers). Even that movie on my Denon DVD2910 Upconverter looks like crap compared to any of my BD's. Im begging that Paramount will tell Toshiba and M$ to shove it! Hurry up!

You can wish it, think about it and even demand it, but until they come out of that 150 Million fog they are in, what we want does not matter.

The 150 million is a non issue anymore and will have no effect on the things coming in the near future.
I am seeing blu shamrocks this year in my head for some reason...

They're probably holding out until the end of the month. This is when the return policies for many stores will expire. That's my educated guess anyway.

CloverField = Best sound ever.. It need HD AUDIO!!!!.. you know.. that they probably Screw the HD DVD by putting DD+, but all HD DVD owner know tahat it's GOOD ENOUGHT!

I desperatley want Sweeney Todd on Blu-Ray! I will import it if I have to.

I would also really like Cloverfield, but probably wouldn't be worth importing.

I just watched MI3 BD, rented it from blockbuster. Really, PQ pretty much wasnt anything near what i expect from Blu-Rays anymore, and the lossy audio was a disapointment, especially during the bridge scene. Once it gets re-done with a BD50 + AVC high bitrate + Lossless audio, i will purchase all 3. Till then, i will just pass on them completely.

I got the Jack Ryan quartet on HD-DVD just before Paramount withdrew them. They're all labeled special collectors editions with lots of extras and commentaries by Tom Clancy and others, but someone forgot to actually include them on the discs. The films are naturally grainy, too, which doesn't make for smooth video. ... Problematic, to say the least. Let's hope Blu-ray elves work all night on them.
