Sadly, having only seen the first movie in this release, I would like this to have been a whole set of the series, but I shouldn't complain we're at least getting two instead of zero.

This isn't exactly loaded with special features, but I am still comfortable with the higher price because it's not like these are titles which will sell in big volume. As such, being able to buy them at all and paying a premium to cover the more limited production run works!

Amazon is price-matching the B&N 50% off sale, so I just ordered.

I do enjoy Japanese cinema, but this is a blind-buy based more on the fact that I collect B&W films shot in CinemaScope.

Hope you like them! I for one was only introduced to the series with these first two movies, and so I now wish Arrow would make a box set with all the movies!
