What are the audio specs on this one? Any 48/24 audio track?

I got the last Blu-ray copy at my local Best Buy. Guy said they received 3 or 4 and I bought the last one at lunch time.

It was the first BD I have seen with the O-ring slip over cover. I wish they would not include them on BD because I always spend time looking for one that is not damaged.

I just hit the info button with the movie in and it says Linear Pcm 7.1 48 Khz 6.1 Mbps. I am also seeing the highest Mbps I have seen yet with Mpeg-2 at up to 39.0. Sweet!

Can you confirm that as 6.1?

Sorry, I suck at this for what alot of the info means, but yes it says 6.1 Mbps. Good I hope!

Er, actually I'm the one that was confused. I didn't see that was the bitrate and not the channels. But now can you confirm that it's 7.1 channel LPCM and not 5.1 DD (which was mentioned in the specs)?

Yap, I just hit play again and it shows 7.1. It also has a 5.1 Doldy Digital but the 7.1 came up when I selected the PCM uncompressed.

On the movie itself it says PCM audio (uncompressed) and 5.1 DD Surround EX. Under the setup menu the choices are English 6.1 PCM and 5.1 DD EX. When the movie is playing it shows Linear PCM 7.1ch 48KHz 6.1 Mbps. Hope it helps.

Is it playing well on Sony Blu-Ray players? Was hesitant to get it since it's Lion Gate and the last Lion Gate blu ray (The Covenant) wouldn't play on my Sony! Thanks!

I'm using my PS3 to play it. I had some movies that would not play on the Samsung (with firmware upgrade) so I got rid of the player. The stand alone Sony also had trouble with some of the movies, yet the PS3 played them all.

I just bought it as i got out of work, probably going to pop it in in about 2 hours. I love this movie, i love the transporter movies too, just strapped on cash after i splurged on black hawk down and click the other day, but I'm up to 7 BR movies

Just startin out, i saw some of the stuff from CES... WWOOOOOW

I was told that this title was pulled from the shelves before release. Fry's, Best Buy, MovieStop, nor Wal-mart had any.

I picked this up also. I scanned it and it looks great so far. I like how it defaults to LPCM.

It's a 6.1 soundtrack, but sent as 7.1. The rear center channel is just duplicated. I can't wait to get a new reciever. Great to see that all exclusive BD companies are eating up BD-50s and using lossless audio.

Thanks for the replies. 6144kbps for the 7.1 LPCM track implies its 48khz/16-bit. I was hoping for a 48/24 track, but this should be great nonetheless.

I just finished watching Crank. The picture quality is top notch. 5 stars all the way. The audio is great. I would give the audio 4 to 4.5 stars.

BTW, this title has PIP just like The Descent! This is a must have demo title!
