Nothing to do with the leads being female, but this was really bad. Not that the others “Presents” were masterpieces... It was just really poorly written, directed, edited and looked cheap as hell. There were so many quick scenes or montages with bad pop songs dropped in... it became such overkill. What can you expect from the director of Beethoven’s Big Break and the Scorpion King 4. He also seems to be a producer of many, many, many DTV sequels.

I haven't seen the film and from what I've heard about it, I don't think I want to. For the record, I have all of the other eight American Pie films on Blu-ray and DVD. This new film supposedly has no female nudity (first in the series), no Eugene Levy (first in the series) and is super tame because well, too many people have gone soft and think there is something wrong with the original films. There isn't. That's my view.
