Do you think you could use a label maker??? I had one for CD's but would it work for a movie???

I think Sony used their's up until early 2008. So yeah!

idk if putting one label on top of another would work very well...plus i know the labelmakers that "stamp" labels on are known to occasionally come off during play which then messes up the player. ive never used them myself, that's just what i've heard

It's funny--for VHS, laserdisc, DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray, every time the format is new each studio is determined to put their own stamp on it. For BD we get the faceless Sony discs, the Disney swoosh on the cover, etc. Then, a little while later, everyone drops it.

...So why do they keep doing it every time a new format arrives? It's like there's a thirty-year-old marketing book somewhere that nobody has the heart to throw out, or something.

I prefer the blue discs over the Paramount grey discs. Now those are boring. At least the best movie of the decade, 'There Will Be Blood', had a black disc. I do like how Sony, Disney and Lionsgate put images on the inside of the covers.

The worst is lions-gate films. Well, atleast the covers...the stupid silver scheme.

Just Fugly. Reminds me of tin-foil.

I don't care what the disc looks like as long as I get all the pretty colors on the TV.

You only see the actual disc for mere seconds....does it really matter that much?

I noticed that on some of my older Sony Discs. But like a newer title for example The Wackness has its own disc art.

Newer titles by Sony already feature artwork, I believe the first one to start using art was Hollow Man and Immortal Beloved.
