The last great De Palma film. Hopefully it keeps the iconic poster art. Love the score and 70's soundtrack to this.

I love Femme Fatale, and Redacted. I REALLY enjoy Black Dahlia, and it hurts they never let him release his director's cut.
I mean, Mission Impossible is a good action film, too.

Snake Eyes has that super cool tracking/ reverse tracking bit, and the tracking shot above the hotel rooms, but overall: ehh

Mission to Mars has technologically cool audio innovation, and great zero-G camera work. That's about it.

Passion? Hated it.
Domino had it's moments, but just failed to reach a real PEAK. I wouldn't say it's bad. It's an OK movie, but considering it's DE PALMA and just ok? That's a bummer.

I did buy the movie not long ago. The FYE steelbook from ebay.
Maybe universal was happy with the sale of that one and whipped out a fresh 4k scan just to taunt me

Only seen this one once and didn't think much of it. Will probably pick up the 4k when it comes out and watch it again.

This movie has my second-favorite Steadicam shot of all time, right behind the nightclub shot from GOODFELLAS. One of DePalma's best, and Universal has become reliably awesome where 4K is concerned -- so I can't wait to own this!

Carlito's Way is more on the prestige drama side of film making. Scarface is more an off the rails cult film, but has a score like a prestige drama.

Like i find it amusing when Moroders Ginas theme is playing. A serious epic romantic piece of hopelessly Italian electro pop as Gina gone loco proposes incest to Tony, while he's sniffing back a mountain of cocaine. Did Giorgio get told what he was composing for? Lol

Might need to rewatch this, because I didn't think very much of it the first time, compared to other Brian De Palma movies.

I love the scene near the end where Carlito visits Sean Penn's hospital room and then after leaving tosses the bullets from Kleinfeld's gun. Classic.
