Boo frickin hoo . Next stop...all of their catalog titles being cancelled. But in all seriousness, thier last releases will have to be in short supply. There is no way they are going to press a crapload of these, all to be obsolete in a matter of weeks after release.

So has the date that Warner stops releasing red titles get moved now from May 6 to may 27?

I think this is awful news.

No - the currently announced DUD catalog titles will be released three weeks later than BD released ones. DUD still goes away after May 31 on Warner.

i wonder if there is anything in the contract demanding a min. be pressed.

i can't imagine bby, cc, fry's would want more than 1 copy given how poorly hd dvd has been selling. warner really shouldn't press more than 7500 copies.

Think of it this way... When they advertise, are they even going to mention that HD-DVD will be available shortly... not
The ads will only show avail on DVD and Blu-ray.... nice

Who ever thought this up ought to get a atta-boy/girl

I hope there isn't a min specified. It would be great if they only release a small number of each HD DVD title between now and the deadline.

Only 3 weeks delay... It should have been more. Look at our delays from Paramount .

Good point. Well, apart from the probability of hardly any demand, I doubt Warner want to be stuck with any HD DVD stock after May 31st. So, I would guess they will produce a modest number - say 10,000 for 'I Am Legend' and even smaller quantities for other titles - to satisfy whatever die-hard HD DVD fanatics remain.

I read that the three week delay on the HD DVD titles is directly due to yield issues on the lines.

That's right! I wrote it down, then I read it. Can I have my insider credentials on AVS forums now?

k-thanks

Speaking of Paramount, two copies of Payback popped up on the shelves at the BB close to me. Anyone lacking and want one?
