Yes -

Midsomer Murders - 25 years of mayhem at 7.

https://www.itv.com/presscentre/ep1w...5-years-mayhem

The Scarecrow Murders on after at 8.

I've got Sky now, but It doesn't go as far into the TV listings future as Virgin did.

Having now read the new issue of TV & Satellite Week, it appears we're just getting one new episode, but it incorrectly says that it's the first episode of Series 23. As far as I'm aware, "The Scarecrow Murders" is 'Series 22, Episode 4'. I don't know if this episode was specially written to celebrate twenty-five years of Midsomer Murders, but that's how they're describing it in the aforementioned TV listings magazine.

United Kingdom Series 23?

During the (new) documentary about Midsomer Murders' twenty-fifth anniversary, they showed a clip from during filming of a new episode. Now, I haven't read any announcement of any kind (it could very well have been announced a while back and I haven't read it). I could swear during the clip from filming, that it said on a clipperboard "Apr 2022", which would mean they are filming a new series. I think filming on Series 22 ended in the first half of last year (I read that somewhere, maybe on Wikipedia).

United Kingdom Series 22 episode "For Death Prepare"

The penultimate episode of Midsomer Murders' 22nd series/season ("For Death Prepare") is getting it's UK TV premiere (don't know about Britbox) next Sunday night on ITV1 (10th January, 2023) at 8 pm - 10 pm.

Source: Sky's TV listings and the new issue of TV & Satellite Week (the Saturday 7th to Friday 13th January, 2023 issue).

Disappinted by the slow rate these ITV1 premiere airings are happening. I'm sure I've seen pre-order listings on one or two shopping websites (DVD and/or Blu-ray) for Series 22. Having checked the EpGuides episode list page for the show, they've got episode titles up to just past halfway through Series 23, with recent airdates for the first four episodes.

United Kingdom ITV1 schedule change

Checked this coming Sunday night's listings, and spotted that the new episode of Midsomer Murders has been removed from the schedule, replaced by the new Chase bloopers show (which was replaced by a repeat of the previous bloopers show on New Year's Eve) and (including ads) an hour and half plus interview with a member of the Royal family.

Well, ITV are taking their sweet time premiering on ITV1 the rescheduled Series 22 episode of Midsomer Murders. It was originally scheduled to be shown on Sunday 8th January this year, and yet here we are just over four months later. and still no sign of it. It does seem to me that Britbox may have something to do with it. The remainder of Series 22, as well as the first few episodes of Series 23 may have already been made available on Britbox.

Midsomer episode postponed due to Royal guff is on next Sunday at 8pm

"ITV has confirmed the hit show will return this month with the remaining episodes of Series 22.

Episode 5, titled For Death Prepare was originally due to air on January but was postponed due to a new Prince Harry interview."

Yes, I found out about this last night when I looked at the Sky TV listings for next Sunday night. During the recording of yesterday afternoon's screening of Thunderball, there was a trailer for this new Midsomer Murders episode, but it gave the hint that ITV1 are only showing one new episode (including "For Death Prepare", there are two new episodes left from Series 22 to premiere on ITV1). I've posted about it before in this thread. Let's hope the episode finally airs and doesn't get removed from the ITV1 schedules again, and that we don't have to wait until next year (I'm being sarcastic) for the start of Series 23.

Regarding this, well, we have yet to see the Series/Season 22 finale of Midsomer Murders on the main ITV channel. The wording above suggested we were going to get "The Witches of Angel's Rise" very soon after "For Death Prepare" (which eventually premiered on ITV1 in early June, five months after it was originally scheduled).

How many episodes of Series/Season 23 have premiered on Britbox in the UK out of interest? EpGuides suggests the first four episodes (of a total of six) have been made available on Britbox. And is there any word yet on whether a 24th series/season has been ordered?

"For Death Prepare" by the way, was well worth the wait. Very good I thought, with a satisfying motive for the murderer/killer.

No problem. Appreciate the explanation.

Not sure yet if I'll be watching the new episode tomorrow night yet. Have been watching an episode of the show from the (John) Barnaby and Jones and (John) Barnaby and Nelson eras the past few Sunday nights.

I believe myself it has something to do with Acorn tv, Britbox and ITV, regarding how many new episodes of Midsomer Murders premiere on ITV1 in the year now. This year, we've had two new episodes with the 23rd series still to start on the channel (I've read this week that the next series after that is premiering on Acorn tv soon).

Just seen MM is on again.

Anyone remember the old Fighting Fantasy books where "YOU are the hero"? Well...

"Midsomer Murder fans will get a chance to see if they can survive the county of Midsomer in the first-ever interactive novel, which will be released very soon.

The blurb for the forthcoming novel reads: "All is not well in the beautiful county of Midsomer. On the eve of its first Villages In Bloom competition, a man lies dead, smelling of damson jam. Who could have done it? Well, that's where you come in.

“Step into the shoes of Midsomer CID's newest recruit, choose your own path and decide which way the story goes."

Thanks for posting about this interactive Midsomer Murders novel, CrockettandTubbs, and apologies for not having replied sooner. I'm partly irritated by how slow it is taking for new episodes to premiere on the main ITV channel. I can be a very patient person, but this is taking the biscuit. By the end of next year, Series 23 will probably have finished premiering on ITV1. Is it down to Britbox why it's taking a lot longer than it used to for a series/season to be premiered in it's entirety? I know new episodes were spread out a long time ago on the main ITV channel, but not like this (just two new episodes last year, and one new episode so far this year).

Have checked Amazon UK for the interactive novel you posted about above, and I found out that a second interactive Midsomer Murders is coming out in October this year (written again by Simon Brew), this time having a Hallowe'en theme with the story (called A Winter's Murder, it'll be released on Kindle and as a hardback book).

United Kingdom Series 23 episode "The Debt of Lies" (ITV1 premiere)

Found this out by accident on Facebook earlier (in the News Feed), then did a web search and it appears to be correct (although the time it's on seems a bit odd (unless it's something to do with the Euro football tournament). Midsomer Murders' 23rd series resumes on ITV1 on Tuesday 16th July at 8.15 pm with the episode "The Debt of Lies".

Hopefully this will be confirmed soon. It says that new episodes of the show are back on the aforementioned date, but is this going to be just one new episode again then another long wait before the next new episode?
