Man, I don't think I've seen this one since first catching it on its cable debut in '87 - will be great to finally give it a rewatch. Love how this is steeped in supernatural soul-selling and the legend of blues great Robert Johnson. I believe this was my introduction to brunette beauty Jami Gertz, who I'd be seeing on the big-screen later in '87 with THE LOST BOYS and LESS THAN ZERO.

As someone who well-remembers the VHS rental era, I have to give kudos to Mill Creek's retro art packaging for these '80s titles.

Owned by Fox/Disney in the US, so make of that what you will. You could always track down Universal’s Australian or Scandinavian releases, which are region free.

I just got "The Pledge" and "Imaginary Crimes", two of my big wish titles, from Mill Creek. Now, I'll get "Crossroads" AND "The Freshman"!!! Those two are two other big wish titles. Damn, they are killing it!

I own the Scandinavian release. Aside from the lack of bonus features, it’s a very nice release. It’s even the very slightly longer international cut.

I remember having the soundtrack to this on vinyl, back in the 80s.

It was one of my late father's favorites, and we watched it often together.

My wife has always laughed at Ralph's guitar faces, LOL.

It's just a wonderfully charming film.

I definitely still have this VHS. Used to watch it with my father growing up. Looking forward to picking this up on blu-ray.

Ralph Macchio did a good job of miming to guitarist Ry Cooder's guitar playing, but I always thought Steve Vai and his 1980's style of guitar shredding was out of place in a movie about the Blues.

It's great news that this film is finally seeing a blu-ray release. I hope the A/V quality is good for a budget release.

I just got the email notification that this is up for pre-order. I can't tell you how excited I am, even though it's just Creek Mill. At last, it's getting a Blu-ray release, and it's bound to be better than the unwatchable DVD.

This has been on my wish list since the inception of the BD format, so I am beyond psyched! I can finally be able to die in peace!

DAY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
