Vudu is streaming the direct to video sequels in HDX free with ads. Though they appear to be cropped to widescreen.

Universal Soldier II (Vudu):

Universal Soldier III (Vudu):
______________________________________________

Amazon is selling the sequels in HD for 9.99 each.

Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms

Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business

Does anyone have the Amazon versions?

Damn, this is a HUGE news. I didn't ever suspect that someone had transferred those on HD. FINE!

I would love to get them.

I have yet to see them, but apparently I can watch them on Vudu in HD for free. I mean you can't beat Burt Reynolds and Gary Busey!!

Sure. If you don't have the Vudu app, you can download it and sign up for a free account to watch the movies for free.

I need to re-watch these.

I've seen Uni Sol, Regeneration and Day of Reckoning a bunch of times and just never seem to come down on one side or another with them, although I have total respect for them being vastly different and have always had strong appreciation for anyone making genuinely strong waves in the vastly underutilised straight-to-video sequel game (see the latter two Chucky movies and a handful of Tremors)

Only seen the first one and liked it.

Really ought to get around to the sequels. From what I've heard of Day Of Reckoning, it sounds amazing.

There's one UniSol movie as far as I'm concerned. The first one.

I've also seen last two and they were unwatchable piles of...

Regeneration
Day of Reckoning
OG

Haven't seen the others. Love what Hyams did. Those sequels are up there for best action movies of the last 25 years for me, with the Raid films and Fury Road.

Regeneration, visceral like an action movie is supposed to be,the opening sequence is the best I have seen in 40 years of watching action movies.
Day Of Reckoning, very dark from the start with unreal violent scenes, almost dreamlike(nightmare like!)
Original,a classic from the golden days of action movies.
I haven't seen the other 3.

Too bad John Hyams did not write and direct a third UniSol movie, completing an ideal "trilogy".

Thought I prefer Regeneration, you're missing out if you don't watch Day of Reckoning.
Both are great but best to not watch one after the other.

1- Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009)
A sci-fi masterpiece that feels like a cross between David Cronenberg, John Carpenter and Metal Gear. Cold, ruthless, fascinating, thrilling, exciting and visually marvellous.

2- Universal Soldier (1992)
The classic that started it all! Wonderful, fun, intriguing, cool, plenty of memorable scenes. Jean-Claude and Dolph at their best.

3- Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)
Frightening sci-fi/action jewel, very mysterious and engaging. Scott Adkins did a good job as the new lead character, John.
Luc Deveraux in his "Apocalypse Now" guise is scary and tormented. Exceptional.

4- Universal Soldier: The Return (1999)
It looks and feels like an average Van Damme flick. Still, it features great action and a new batch of Universal Soldiers. Making Luc human again was a big mistake. Good movie, not great.

The video-sequels don't count:

Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arm (1998)
Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business (1998)

--------------------------------->
Regeneration is a film I love but it's not a masterpiece. It's mostly good but it ain't a masterpiece. It got the action right for sure but it's got some bad acting and dialogue. Luckily the plot and action hold it strongly.

First one is a lot of fun. Regeneration is very solid. The rest are trash.

I don't fully agree. The acting was great, and the dialogue was minimal and meaningful.

It's an atmospheric masterpiece with incredibile action and a marvellous vibe.
