You are right.

There is a short video but again, it is difficult to judge the capture.
Moreover, we do not know if the three TVs have been calibrated.

That OLED looks dim in comparison.

They are dull in comparison to such a display, the higher nits on the QD display clearly demonstrate the wider color gamut. It's like lifting a veil off a display. The LG OLED can't produce a bright red like the QD display.

Samsung to Unveil 2021 Micro LED TV in Online Webinar This Week?

Several news publications in Korea are reporting that Samsung will be launching a new Micro LED TV this week in an online webinar, perhaps adding to its "The Wall" collection. Given that we're almost at the end of 2020, Samsung's new Micro LED TV will probably ship in 2021 (if not later):

http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20201207000893

We agree with the assessment of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) that MicroLED TVs won't become mainstream any time soon due to very high retail price:

Well, guess what. My VIZIO OLED is no dimmer than the Samsung C7000 LED LCD it replaced. This is in a bright room, mind you.

With LCD and QLED, you only get so many "dimming zones," meaning it has to average the light output required for all of the pixels in each of these zones. With an OLED, since each pixel emits its own light, each pixel is, in itself, a dimming zone. This enables each pixel to emit the precise amount of light needed.

Also, OLED displays are used in the movie studios for mastering films, meaning unlike LCD and QLED, OLED displays will give you a true reference-quality image. LCD and QLED displays will never be considered reference-quality.

Samsung just calls it "QLED" because they want to sell more displays. A "Q" looks like an "O" with a little line dangling from it. Before 2017, Samsung called it "SUHD," but they didn't think that name was very attractive to customers, so they coined the term "QLED" so they can sell their mediocre displays and market them as the best thing out there.

OK, I'm not defending Samsung. I've seen the Vizio OLED, made the salesmen turn on it because I heard Best Buy had been strong-armed by LG not to display Vizios near their sets. It's a nice TV. Anyway, no OLED gets to 2200 nits, if it did you would have instant burn-in. Because OLEDs are dim by comparison, you won't get that wide color in HDR. With that being said, QLEDs are capable of displaying more colors than OLED which is what HDR is supposed to be about. OLEDs are better SDR displays, which I happen to watch a lot of.

This guy was hating Micro-LED. He must be getting bags from the OLED cartel.

OLED burn-in is a myth

No, I don't think so. Micro-LED is not just another LED. It's going to blow away OLED.

Strongly that this technology arrives and is accessible, it will have the merit of getting everyone to agree.

OLED is the absolute KING of color, and will always reign supreme. Versus this "QLED" technology which is only mediocre, yet advertised as the best. Also, 480 dimming zones from Samsung’s top of the line QLED (the Q900TS) versus 8,294,400 dimming zones from every OLED. Think about that. That’s 17,280 times more dimming zones! Now you see what I’m talking about.

Also, the only other manufacturer of QLED is TCL. I personally think TCL displays are just a bunch of Chinese crap that spy on everything you play through them. You play a disc through one of their displays and it asks you if you want to stream that film.

QLED is garbage. No one serious falls for that nonsense.

No, but you could have had a 48” Vizio OLED for $899 on BF. I couldn’t believe that price. Almost bought it just to have it. Maybe put it in the garden or something.
