Based on the absolute horrible quality images I could find online for this film, this looks like one heck of a restoration. Going to have to do some heavy research before I decided if I want to blind buy this one or not.

Embarrassed to say, I've never heard of this at all, and I consider myself a pretty well versed Japanese film fan. I'll probably check it out just to support this new label.

I couldn't find a video on the announced title, but I read that it's a body horror film. Definitely a buy.

If they're also planning to do sci-fi, I'd love to see a good HD release for Dragonhead. One of the most depressing, but still watchable (I think) post-apocalyptic film I've ever seen. I was so glad to be alive after watching this film

Yeah, that one was freaking nuts. I loved it, minus the cheap effects. Have you ever watched Virus (Day of Resurrection). That one left me even more depressed.

Hopefully they focus on the "cult" aspect instead of just horror alone. I need Sogo Ishii and Nobuhiko Obayashi's back catalog finally released.

Awesome news on Anatomia Extinction!

Hopefully they release some Hisayasu Sato films.

I thank myself for sliding into Arrow's Facebook & IG comments and Twitter mentions to suggest Ishii's films anytime they released anything from East Asia, while also praising them for their great work.

I have no idea how far back these guys might be interested or willing to dive into bygone classic territory, but a Nobuo Nakagawa box set sure would be swell.

Hoping for Cat III and Noroi. Maybe they will branch out into some darker anime releases as well.

Personally hoping they or someone gets Gozu. Still pretty surprised it's not out on Blu-ray yet.

After Ichi the Killer, it's Miike's best film, IMO. Been dying to see this get a BD.

Cool little film but I don't really consider it a feature-length film at only 50 minutes long. Still, I'm happy for this new label and look forward to them having success as they release other titles. I hope films like Gozu, Uzumaki, Sweet Home, Like a Dragon, Junk, Noroi, and Ju-On will be considered for releases soon!

It's a favorite for sure. I'm actually surprised it hasn't been picked up yet.

Thanks for that link. I'm not as well versed in short films. I only saw Anatomia Extinction as part of a double-bill screening with Tokyo Gore Police, which is basically a remake of it. I just bought the recent US BD of that so that's good enough for me for now. I'm going to keep rooting for this label, though!
