Not a given even as a Direct Sale, or at least it wouldn't have been ten years ago. But then, times and means have changed since I last worked in UK home ents (7 years now...)

Indicator always include their bonus posters etc for direct sales outside the sealed package. They use the same fulfilment as Second Sight.

So for someone who was not impressed by The Babadook and thought that it was just all right, what would you say this film is most comparable to?

It's a very different film to The Babadook, certainly more realist and, given the material and period, relentlessly bleak and violent. There was a lot of pushback at the time of release towards the film's sexual violence especially. It's in the same vein as something like Come and See.

Diabolik changed my order status to "NJ Backorders" - no idea what this means. Has there been a delay?

I really, really didn't like The Babadook at all, but I would go as far as to say that The Nightingale is easily one of the best films of the last 10 years. It has a similar feel to Malick's The New World, but it's a lot tighter in its execution. There are some harrowing scenes that are very hard to watch, but the story is so compelling. You're literally hanging on to every little twist and turn as to the fate of the main protagonist, Clare. Another plus is the stunning cinematography, especially the night shots.

I won't spoil it for you, but there's a pivotal scene near the end of the film where my wife and I were literally sat on the edge of our seats!

Does anyone own a Panasonic UB820 and know if the Top Menu trick works to make this play?

I want to pick this one up, but might wait on the standard version and/or shipping to the US to return to somewhat normal pricing.

I regretted missing out on Zavvi preorder, which basically sold out on release day. I decided to buy from Rarewaves.

I somehow had The Nightingale and Tammy and the T-Rex in my basket. Ordered it and despatch date 09/03/2021

If you think any items going to go out of stock just put in your basket and check out.

Blind buying a 'spensive limited edition can be dicey but fortunately I was completely riveted by this movie. Incredible performances and a very impressive sense of time and place.

It would make an excellent (if rather macabre) double feature with John Hillcoat's 'The Proposition' which I also love.

This title encountered a few release date changes, but multiple sources (like the order link at HMV, this article: https://horrorcultfilms.co.uk/2021/0...e-nightingale/ and, most importantly, my order confirmation receipt directly from Second Site’s webstore) show the final release date as Feb. 8th. Over a week ago, I submitted an update to correct Blu-Ray.com’s listing to reflect this final release date and it’s been in ‘locked’ status ever since. Is there any way someone can assist me in getting this revised on this site?
