Yes, I have always found RLJ to be synonymous with Acorn (for both UK and US releases). Not a surprise to see the parent company listed - a number of listings have Spirit Entertainment as the distributor, even if it's actually a Dazzler Media release, for instance.

The good news is (assuming this release actually happens, and for a popular series like Line of Duty it may well do) it will highly likely be 1080i/50, not because Acorn UK get their speeds right, but because they always output 1080i/50 in the UK and happily this should be correct in this instance (assuming they put 25fps inside a 1080i/50 container, and don't just dump interlaced frames - although even then I guess it would match original TV viewing...).

I would not expect lossless audio above LPCM 2.0 stereo, but that's fine by me. Don't think the German discs had lossless audio either?

Really hope this isn't a mistake and comes through!

Also, ordered from HMV where it's £10 cheaper at £59.99

https://store.hmv.com/store/film-tv/...ies-one-to-six

EDIT: The HMV listing also has the distributor as "Acorn Media UK".

HMV has updated their listing with the 17th May release date (same as the standalone S6, which would make a lot of sense) and the artwork McCrutchy posted above. Really hope this materialises - very much looking forward to it, even if the audio is lossy (although I hope it isn't, obviously).

Now £49.99 over at Amazon. Weirdly, this appears to be a second entry on Amazon, not the one listed in the forum database already.

Hopefully that placeholder date will update shortly to May 24th, the date all the other releases are set to come out (S6 Blu, S6 DVD, S1-6 DVD complete). Excited for this, Acorn had better not can it at the last minute!

I was going to order it at £49.99 but I thought it was due out just before my birthday so my wife could buy it for me (she wants to see it too... neither of us have) but now Amazon are swapping things around and put it back up to £59.99 and definitely no specified date so very unlikely to be before my birthday

I'm still hopeful this will come out, but I wonder if it will be like the Chernobyl blu and come out some period of time after the DVD set.

However, the pessimist in me is still fully expecting Acorn to bottle it at the last minute.

Fans of Line of Duty are probably wishing no-one involved with it get cancelled before the finale is broadcast

Back down to £49.99 if that's helpful in any way!

They may just have had enough time to reshoot Noel Clarke's scenes as H.

I really hope this doesn't get pulled as you say. I also hope they don't botch it because the Chernobyl release was a complete joke from the start. I don't know what else Acorn have done but they seem like a label that has no clue of the market and what people that still buy physical media want.

Apparently not.

HMV have switched from the 24th May to coming soon, whilst Amazon has always had a placeholder of end of year.

Acorn are really making a mess of the dates according to HMV.
S1 to 6 DVD boxset 24th May
S6 DVD 31st May
S6 BD 31st May
S1 to 6 BD boxset Coming Soon, no date

Chernobyl as you say was bonkers by Acorn.

BD release was wrong speed using the Sky 50i TV master.
HBO managed to but out in non Sky territories at correct 24p.
Plus they now have a UHD which I bough cheap from Amazon Spain.

I wouldn’t have bothered with Acorn and LOD in the U.K. but the German release replaces the end cards in the final episode of each series saying what happened to each of the main characters are replaced with German language ones.

So as a result no one gets my money and I just rewatch on iPlayer.

It'll be on the Iplayer, you can watch it for free you don't need to buy the boxset.
