Oh, it's a goddamn good day...

I saw this theatrically just after turning 12 and loved it...and still do. Imported the StudioCanal Blu years ago from Japan but will gladly double dip. Terrific that this is a 2-disc collector's edition and can't wait to see those supplements announced. Jessica Lange, Jeff Bridges, Charles Grodin and that big, beautiful, "goddamn, chauvinist pig ape!" are getting their due at long last...rousing, funny, ultimately heartbreaking and graced with John Barry's exciting and lushly romantic beauty of a score, this is wonderfully entertaining fun.

Between this announcement and WAC's announcing THE BERMUDA DEPTHS last week, my inner, giant monster-loving adolescent couldn't be happier...Scream/Shout, you magnificent bastards!

Even though this is my least favourite of the three King Kong presentations, I'll still be picking this up for sure to complete the trio. I saw someone else ask but not get an answer, does anyone know who did the cover art? It looks great.

Got a lot of nostalgia for this one. It was this version that was my introduction to King Kong in general.
