Only recall this game series for the original PS1. Seems like a pretty obscure source reference by this point.

Well, that video game adaptation lasted a whole... 2 projects.

I hope it isn't bad. I played the first 2 games a bunch as a kid. But that teaser gives me no hope.

That looks terrible. It doesn't even look like it features the actual TM contest from the games, it just looks like a cheesy Fast and the Furious action-comedy.

Also missed opportunity to play Rob Zombie during the car sound mix scene, but then again, I think it's also a telltale sign of the campy tone that teaser gave off.

Really cheap CGI overlayed on real elements looks terrible.

The Death Race movies are quite cheap but the one thing they generally do well is the car combat. I suspect that instead, the combat will be largely in the background to the new story which will be crap but I'll give it a couple of episodes to see how it is.

Is Peacock a premium channel?

Total missed opportunity during the sound mix scene. You can't have Twisted Metal without Rob Zombie:

The choice of pop music tells me this is gonna be an action-comedy cheesefest, which isn't Twisted Metal at all.

Wow that clip and the teaser were horrible. Will Arnett voicing Sweet Tooth is lame and Anthony Mackie looks out of place in this. From what I’ve seen of Mackie he works a lot better as a character actor than a leading man.

I don't understand why they made this a TV series instead of a movie. There’s barely any story in the games, yet this is going to be ten half hour episodes. I highly doubt this will do well on Peacock.

J.S. Gilbert was the best Sweet Tooth voice actor. Legitimately terrifying. They should've brought him back.
