That ending was so poorly written. I can't blame Cap for going back to jump into Carter, woof. But the entire scenario makes no sense and was a terrible end.

My vote goes for The Mist. Fantastic miserable ending. That and Alien 3 Extended Cut. Ripley's sacrifice at the end (without the chestburster) is so much better than the lame corny theatrical ending.
