Ooh yes you are indeed correct the Theatrical does indeed have the IMAX scenes and available in 4K via iTunes.

Haha posted a screenshot in the post above, my extended is still only HD and IMAX scenes only show in the time bar, the main screen remains in widescreen ratio.

You're right. Extended is HD and No IMAX AR.

I see what Snyder was talking about now. The previous release compared to this one; the previous is a tad oversaturated so Snyder pulled that big a tad but the result is that the overall look of the film has a slight vintage look, especially in the IMAX scenes and weirdly, it looks closer to Man of Steel now.

I just checked my HD version in iTunes, and it has the IMAX scenes!
I'm surprised that all versions are getting the update.

I have the HD of the theatrical and the 4K of the Ultimate and neither are in the new Aspect Ratio at this point. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am checking on my phone currently.

I just checked my theatrical version on my phone and it is showing switching aspect ratios to IMAX scenes during the Batman/ Superman showdown. I presume these are newly added?

I tried checking the Ultimate Edition which is included in the extras and it's telling me 'unable to play content'. I will check again on my Apple TV when at home.

Watching Ultimate Edition and it’s 4K and the whole opening sequence is IMAX ratio. Solid stuff!

It’s been added to the UK also, it’s got a couple of new Extras with an intro from Snyder, what I’m not sure of though is if the UE is still HD or now 4K.

Bought the iTunes (Canada) version. Theatrical / 4K / IMAX for the main feature.

Ultimate Edition is one of the iTunes extras but I can't confirm its AR / resolution because none of the extras play. I just get "There's a problem loading this content" errors.

Update:

iTunes Canada version of the ultimate edition (iTunes Extra) is CinemaScope not the IMAX release.

hey, what i find out is, to change the app in your atv 4k to watch movies, in the aptv app (the black one) it is widescreen, both versions, in the itunes app (purple) to watch movies ist the defintiv edtion, both versions with the imax format, us itunes account!
