Watched this last night on amazon. It was a nice ride.

Unfortunately for me the subwoofer kind of goes into overdrive on this movie which meant I needed to keep tweaking the volume down on it.

I've gone and preordered the steelbook. (i'm from UK).

Saw this in theaters last night and this movie was totally nuts! I loved it!

Acting was horrible but who cares, visuals were off the charts and Kong and Godzilla were obviously awesome.

How does Godzilla: KOTM compare to this one visually?

If it's along the same lines and as visually impressive, I'm going to pick it up too for sure

Visually and audially its just as rocking. It has many more monsters too.

sorry if this a noob question but if I ordered this from the UK store to ship to the US, would it be a region specific version? I really want this steelbook but not sure when it’ll be available for pre-order here in the states...

You’ll be good. 4K is never region coded and Warner Bros. blu-rays are always region free.

I'd imagine we'll see US pre-orders within the next week or two, after the movie has finished its run on HBO Max. That's pretty much what happened with WW84. The artwork for the standard US 4K release has already been finalized. I'm guessing Best Buy will have the same steelbook as this UK one.

Awesome. What do you think is the best or fastest way to be notified when the steelbook does go up for pre-order so it doesn’t sell out?

Wish Best Buy would release a 4k steelbook including the 3D disc like they did for Kong: Skull Island.

No idea. Just keep checking these forums or BestBuy.com. I don't think it will sell out instantly.

Looks like Best Buy is releasing the identical 4k steelbook on 6/15.

LOL, the standard 4K is still listed at $43 on both Best Buy and Amazon in the US a little more than a week out from its release. Even the standard Blu-Ray is $35, which is more than what 4Ks sell for at release. This is absurd.

Please tell me they'll drop the price in the coming days. A new release 4K listed at $43 MSRP, I've never seen that before in my life.

Seems that Warner Bros, HBO and Amazon have decided to take advantage of the pandemic to price gouge. I went to Deep Discount to order the regular 4K UHD for $32 instead. I won't be a party to price gouging. Don't need the steelbook as the other three movies in this series are regular 4K UHD versions also. So at least this set will match.
