Amazon you mean? They're doing the same thing at all of them now. People in the U.S. can't really pre-order anything at Amazon UK anymore either. I've just switched to alternate suppliers...it's about the only way you can get some imports these days.

Any news as to whether or not this might be a fresh 4K scan of the OCN (2.35/mono) or the 70mm (2.20/6-track) blowup? I assume the release will be the 2.35 aspect ratio with 5.1 audio but the uninformative announcement is not lacking details.

Good call my friend! Can't believe they prominently feature a modern Spruance class destroyer on the cover of a WW2 film! Did I miss something and the Duke and Kirk travel to the future, sort of a reverse "Final Countdown"? Usually not one to complain about artwork on the case, but really???

It's the same cover as the DVD. I much prefer the classy Saul Bass artwork.

Great print on Uk's Film 4 in HD.
I was fortunate to see it in a 70mm release print at the Plaza in London when it came out. Well worth purchasing

Yup, it looked very nice in HD on Film Four. Wow dispatched it to me on Saturday (it's only £12 on Wow right now - that's £14.40 with VAT). Hopefully a review or two will turn up this week.

Mine arrived from Bull Moose today. Shipped last Thursday.

It looks really good, and Paramount gave it a strong bit-rate on the disc. Nice visible detail throughout. I doubt anyone will really be disappointed in the transfer. No English 2.0 audio track is included, just the 5.1 mix.

Extras (all in SD) include 3 Trailers for In Harm's Way, and the Original 1965 Featurette "The Making of a Movie" — so pretty much the same as the old DVD had.
