Any time Zavvi says "exclusive" they are only talking about for the UK market. That just means that you can't buy it from Amazon, HMV, or any of the other UK retailers. 100% WEA steels are rare these day unless it's one of the Asian boutiques funding it. Sometimes even those pop up in other places later

I went for the zavvi exclusive, in the end it could have been more expensive and I don't want to regret not getting it later on when it's sold out. I do want the extra disc but don't want to splurge for a poster and cards so it seems like a good compromise.
I also don't know that I would have chosen the first steelbook but it's way too late for that anyway.

Yep. Carted a copy a few days ago and was able to checkout just now. Will cancel if Best Buy does one like usual.

Amazon have started doing something similar... if you want to order a Limited release from one of their overseas store you have to act quickly or it suddenly switched to 'Temporarily Out of Stock' for a pre-order. I assume so it lets their 'home country' buyers priority in case something becomes really popular and it'll go back to being available near to release (if it's not over-ordered) or after release (if they have any left to sell).

I know that in the UK I could still order at least one upcoming steelbook that other countries couldn't and, similarly, I got the 'out of stock' message about pre-order a German 4K Media book (that I was infomrmed German residents could still order) until a short tim before its release.

I'm still waiting to be allowed to pre-order a couple of things from the US Amazon... one of which isn't even supposed to be LE (maybe because it's a relatively boutique label they're making sure they have 'release day stock')

Do you know if what you are saying in bold above is true from non-UK buyers in Europe? I can't order anything as pre-order anymore, I get the TOOS notice every time, but I don't know what I ever tried the day it goes on pre-sale. I just know I need to wait until the street date to be able to order it, if I'm lucky, and very often I need to wait even later (still can't order the Arrow Naked City set so I got it from zavvi), sometimes a month. Of course you are completely screwed for limited editions and signed items. I never saw a global store version, I think I only saw that for items that come from the US.

3 copies of the 4k steelbook available on eBay for just over $60 delivered if you missed out. It will probably reappear on Zavvi for a few seconds if you're lucky.
