What was wrong with the Shout master? Looking at caps a hollic, the colours look better than the MGM to me. Is it a compression issue?

The MGM HD master is probably based on an interneg, exhibits horribly blown out whites and magenta tinge, and looks to have had some type of sharpening applied (hence the grainier appearance). Shout's transfer looks more natural, though their compression isn't the best at rendering fine grains of the OCN.

They mentioned a 'new' 4K scan; I think it's very unlikely to be anything but the Shout remaster, unless they decide to include the MGM master as well.

All about the extras for me. I already have the old MGM disc so I’ll just Frankenstein that into a 2-disc case for this one.

The MGM transfer looks great to me; it's hard to see how it could be improved. I'd just use that and throw in some good extras if I were them.

With the new master, i don't like the red skin like wax and less definition. Now the moon (or sun ?) is white like a full moon and doesn't have the intense warm color. The flames have less "life"...

I think the MGM master looks more natural.

Don’t believe anything has been announced so far. I saw on Twitter that Dave and Matt won’t be doing an audio commentary on it (only saying that the circumstances weren’t right so they’ve decided not to do one).
