If the theatrical cut isn't included then this is an entirely pointless release. The bloated director's cut has been available on HD for a decade now.

I have multiple releases of this, but it is one of a handful of films that I have been delaying recent viewings in anticipation of a 4K release.

I normally don't give a tinker's damn about packaging and generally am happy with simple original poster art, but count me as one that likes the look of this steelbook.

It's a great movie about Cameron Crowe's teenage years as a rock and roll reporter basically. Crowe wrote Fast Times at Ridgemont High and wrote/directed movies like Jerry Maguire, Say Anything..., Singles and Vanilla Sky. It's really well done. Having said that the Bootleg Cut which is the Directors' Cut is a completely different movie that I didn't like nearly as much. I loved the Theatrical Cut though. I'm really hoping this steelbook has both versions so fans of both will be happy.

It's my #2 behind The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

I'll be pre-ordering this as soon as I can. I hope it's a 2-disc set with each cut getting it's own disc. Cameron Crowe's commentary is one of the best.

It is a 2-disc but the second disc is the blu-ray.
