Bloodsport needs the boutique treatment badly.

+1

I'd take it on it's own disc at this point, any extras would just be icing on the cake.

I did not know that. I wonder if WB will release John Carpenter's Vampires on 4K at some point. That was a Largo movie originally distributed on Sony, then TT, then Scream Factory for the most recent BD. I wonder if WB will release it or pass it off to Kino or whomever.

Day one, this movie is effortlessly rewatchable for me but I need to question the wording of this. Surely it's the unrated international cut and the theatrical cut, right? Did the full 116 minute director's cut even survive past VHS workprint?

I don't think so, but the work print version is way more violent than even the international uncut version.

Sony still has the rights to Vampires. It's one of the few that Warner doesn't own. When Scream Factory put out Vampires, it was done with Sony and not Warner.

I would really think some extras for it would be good. It's always been bare bones. I have the Blu-ray on a set with other Universal Van Damme films and I don't really know if it would be worth it unless some new features were put out for it. If the workprint was included, it would likely be in VHS quality unless there's some composite thing like with Exorcist III where the quality changes depending on the scene.

I think it's just the pre 1995 Largo titles.

This is one of my all time favorites. Yes, for me it's right up there with Re-Animator, Suspiria and the orignal Star Wars trilogy.

Absolute day one buy!

I would love to see someone release good editions of both. Unfortunately, I don't think Lionsgate would license Kickboxer. Hopefully SF gets Bloodsport. I can watch those two movies repeatedly.

My favorite Van Damme movie, mainly due to Lance Henriksen's performance. I think I'll watch it later today.
