Look, I understand the hesitation a studio may have with releasing a full franchise on 4K UHD, but when you’ve only got two feature films in the series, they both really need to be released on the format at the same time. It’s like what Sony did with Charlie’s Angels, though at least the Full Throttle Blu looked great.

It's way more than that. I don't agree with using twitter, but its way more than commenting first... You don't get any "likes" from saying that shit. But you do get up to 20 or 30 if you scoop the contributors on this community who clearly must trawl newsites hourly and maybe have rss feeds plugged into their brain how quickly the usual suspects make a thread for retailer leaked or newsite announced titles.

Like many others, upgraded to regular Blu Ray along with the sequel quite recently. Thankfully, it was quite cheap.

I thought the transfer for the first film was still quite good, so it's too bad the second (and vastly superior) film had a lackluster transfer. Would only get this one in 4K if both got upgraded.

We had to wait years to get the sequel on BD sooooo I’m not surprised.

Freaking Awesome! (closes eyes and says it again)

Please don’t pull a Sony (Charlie’s Angels)???
Do both films at the same time. You will double your sales.

With it being the 30th Anniversary this year and having a UPC listed on the source, thinking this seemingly premature announcement thread is actually 2 legit 2 quit.

They do realise they would sell more copies of the sequel if it hit the same day as the original?

I enjoy the first, but the second is by far the superior of the two. I'm not sure I'd double-dip if it's just the first.

It has looked like shit in home video on every format, but no sequel I would wait for a price drop

I love them both, but the sequel has even more of a cult following than the first. Paramount would be mad not to bundle them together.

It probably has something to do with the box-office receipt. Despite the general consensus that 'Addams Family Values' is the superior film in terms of product quality, acting and storylines/comedy, when you look at the box-office receipts for both films, the first one was cheaper to produce and made 2.5 times at the box office, according to boxofficemojo. I remember years ago this was Paramount's excuse for not releasing special editions of the films on DVD.

It took them 5 years after TAF's release to finally put Values on BD... and now it seems like they're doing the same for the 4K release. Do they not realize people want both and most prefer the 2nd? Does Paramount not want money? I'm not getting the first unless I can get the second. I generally don't like multi-film packs and would rather have each movie in it's own case, but I'd gladly take a 2 movie set for these if it means we actually get the damn thing.

It still annoys me that Sony released Charlie's Angels on 4K but not Full Throttle. I'm convinced they forgot it wasn't even out on BD until the new film and the 4K of the older one was announced. It took them 6 years to release the American BD after it'd been available in almost every other country since 2013.

For some reason I never got into the show like I did with The Munsters, but as a kid I enjoyed this movie. This was huge at the time with a lot of hype and the accompanying Addams Family Groove song was pretty popular. Also loved the Wayne's World teaser trailer that aired before the movie in theaters and it'd be cool if they threw that in - would also love Wayne's World in 4k.

Nice to see this, but since I'm not really a fan of the first entry, fingers crossed for a follow-up announcement for Addams Family Values at some point from Paramount.

I can pretty much guarantee that if this doesn't sell well, there's no hope for the sequel on UHD disc.
