It IS really interesting. Personally, I think I'd have shied away from Sony after the TV. But he just kept buying more Sony products???

Good thing though because otherwise he'd have nothing to join in with the mob and ***** over.

Me? Yeah, for a variety of reasons I had no interest in HD-DVD, but even when they paid off Para I had no delusions that Toshiba was trying to screw me personally. And I'm actually very happy with my 65" Toshiba.

Toshibots on highdefforum? Not so happy with them.

If they don't want a Sony product they can just get a Samsung or Panasonic blu-ray player. Why does everyone only talk about Sony? These other companies are involved in BR too. And why don't the HD fan boys think for a minute about why only Toshiba makes HD DVD players?

$500 million dollars? Is that what he is saying? That's such BS. And he's 56? Shouldn't he be worried about old people stuff, like his medicare?

I've said the same thing...mainly that no one else is in the business of making them because Toshiba has had to undersell so hard just to move hardware that any third party would be better off throwing $ out the window and letting it drift to the street below.

It's the truth, so it gets ignored there.

I think I'm the rare exception here. I picked up HD DVD when it was launched becaus it hit the market first. I picked a PS3 when they launched because I wanted to play with the BD format as well. And yesterday I picked up a 40 GB PS3 for my wife. The war is over, Blu-Ray won. I have no sour grapes. Let's get on with it and open the flood gates.

Disney Animated Classics, Lawrence of Arabia, LOTR.

C'mon Hollywood, just do it.

Oh, and Sony? Start liscencing replication plants!
