Just watched this and thought it was ok. Not as horrible as some have made it seem, but not a classic either. Just a fun film and fans of Mad Men are in for a surprise. Was hoping to see Larry David show up, but that didn't happen.

It was fine really. It's got a fun, easy-going high concept theme, is aesthetically really nice and has a stacked cast.
The problem is it's not that funny. It's got a bunch of chuckle or cute moments and some fun references but it's kinda eh overall. It's one of those let's throw everything at the wall and see what sticks comedys. |

I watched it since I already have Netflix anyway. It wasn't great by any means IMO, but it was amusing and I got some laughs out of it.
It definitely feels exactly like what it is... a "made for streaming" movie... meaning not up to the caliber of something that would be worthy of being released in (and paying to see in) theaters. |

I really, really HATED this movie. It's truly insane how Jerry Seinfeld was able to pull in this many big name actors to make this painfully unfunny, horrendous film that flushes a concept that sounded amusing on paper down the toilet. It's 90 minutes (but feels at least twice as long) of insufferable characters, dreadful performances, an incoherent plot structure that's just a bunch of loosely connected horribly unfunny skits, and jokes that range from lazy to heinous. It hurts to watch so many of these actors get dragged through the mud, joylessly spewing out some of the worst comedic dialogue imaginable, that Seinfeld clearly thinks is super hilarious! This certainly does not feel like it was written by someone who's partly responsible for one of the most successful sitcoms in history. The movie seemingly has no clue whether it wants to be a family comedy or an edgy comedy, it constantly swings back and forth between the two and utterly fails at both. It doesn't produce a single laugh, rather it produces a ton of groaning. This is one of the most pathetic excuses for a "comedy" I've seen in my life, a truly staggering creative failure without a single shred of heart, soul, or inventiveness. Surely, nothing else that I see this year can possibly be worse than this utter filth, I have truly stared down rock bottom watching this. 1/10

My first thought was Jerry Seinfeld's lost it. His acting is terrible and his timing has gone. But he was still great in Curb and his scene with Leon was priceless so I think it's the sheer awfulness of the material. There are a lot of jokes but they are so infantile and stupid no one could make them work. Mad Men ended more than nine years ago so a long reference to it is hardly topical which makes me wonder how long this turd has been looking for a toilet. Step forward Netflix, who will make anything at all as long as it has a recognisable name attached.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very funny with an incredibly stacked cast & a nice antidote to the serious 'Birth of a Product' biopics we've had in recent years. Hugh Grant stole the whole thing, but everyone else was great too.
![]() It's an incredibly silly movie, but seems to be well aware of that fact & is so full of gags, if you didn't like that joke, hey, there'll be another long in a second. ![]() I was quite surprised they went down the January 6th route in the finale though. It made me laugh, but I imagine it would upset some people. ![]() |

the humor in this is something an 8 YO kid would write, shockingly elemental and unfunny (more so if you think who wrote it), but I believe the visual part will cause a reappraisal in a decade or around, because as bad as the jokes are, the visual part is so spot on, its brilliant, I really enjoyed it.
Its like a playboy mag, you enjoy it for the pictures not the text |
