The standard, and THE FARTHEST THIS WILL GO

Is that conservatives are blue, and liberals are red (red commies for example) everywhere but here.

Because in the 1950s the 2 parties swapped alliances when the Dixiecrats went to the GOP, and the liberals in the Republican party fled to the Democrats.

End of explanation, please find a political forum to discuss anything additional

I like the Blu cases. Since PS3 games come in a clear case, I wonder if we'll get any BD releases in a clear case. I also love the special packaging of Lost and Close Encounters. Very sturdy/classy look.

Maybe the new cases were the lowest priced cases for them? They are smaller and thinner.

I didn't find that odd, what I do find odd is that in Europe PS3 game cases and Blu-ray cases are the same. I am not sure which country but I was watching people who posted their collection on another forum and the size of their blu-ra case was the same as PS3 game cases......

I like PS3 cases though so it would be cool to get movies on PS3 cases. =D

One thing we can all agree on though... The cases are sweet and you can fit more movies on your shelf.

I mean, if you saw a movie that featured a story of two competing products starting an intensely competitive war with each other, and in the movie the two products basically picked the same packaging except they each had their official team color, wouldn't you be rolling your eyes at how unbelievable that was?

Probably the only precedent would be things like pop cans or bottles, which have to fit into standard dispensing machines and so on, so they have to work within limits. If Blu-ray and HD DVD both came out in DVD-sized cases, then it could be explained as them trying to fit existing storage units, etc. But they both went with a different size than DVD, but the same different size.

I didn't catch the Democrats vs. Republicans angle. Maybe we need a new red-state / blue-state map showing how the formats are selling across the country. On second thought, I guess I don't really need to see an all-blue map of America.
Actually the only precedent would be every product in the history of the industrialized world. I know no one likes to notice these uber-gigantic trends that occur throughout reality, but essentially all similar products are packaged in nearly identical ways; That's why Pringles having a wacky cylindrical can is so different. Ever notice how whenever 1 company comes out with a new sensible, cost-effective package how everyone immediately clones it and no one can even remember who came first? Like when mayo went from the standard glass jar to the rectangular plastic container.

Just saying, there is nothing new to this at all.

That's probably why he said "everywhere BUT HERE". I'm just guessing though.
