Yes! This is one of my favorites, so glad it's getting the 4k treatment. Made my weekend.

All Halloween 4K listings are removed from dealsareus.ca. Probably they put them up for pre-order too soon. I think they will reappear eventually as they all had UPC numbers.

Is it correct that Halloween 1 also had a UPC? Or was it just 2 to 4?

All 4 had SKUs for sure. I didn't see the UPCs when the pages were up.

Although I personally hate this movie (saw it once on VHS in the 80's -scarred me for life),
I'm glad for it's fans that it is coming to 4k!

Just do like I do and keep both. I've stopped selling the older editions that I like, it was just too depressing sometimes. :P
I've got Halloween 1 on vhs, the special edition on dvd with slipcover, the regular 4k with slip and the best buy 4k steelbook.
As for Halloween 3, I only have the steelbook but I love it. I'll buy the 4k and it will look great next to the other 4k with slips. I'd recommend the same haha.

As long as disc specs aren’t printed on the thing and it is from the same company as the new disc release, it is pretty seamless.

Halloween 5 too. Some are speculating that it may be an October title, but maybe they're saving it for 2022?

I didn't personally care about the steelbook cases in this case (which is weird, since I usually love steelbooks), but I was all about getting the discs with the new transfers. So I just switched out the discs in my Halloween box set with the ones from the steelbook.

I actually plan on doing the same with the UHDs; adding the UHD discs to the box set (and any of the Blu-Rays that are improvements over the ones already in the box set).

It did.

It was something that took me a while to do, but I finally got over it and did it. I started with the Halloween box set, adding extra stuff like the theatrical cuts of the Zombie films and the 25 Years of Terror doc, and switching out "outdated" discs. That led to me making custom combo packs of movies that I had different Blu-Ray releases of (or a Blu-Ray and a DVD with different extras). Certainly helped me with saving shelf space...

I honestly feel like, assuming this all pans out and is legit, that Halloween 5 is also coming, and just hasn't been leaked yet.

I just don't see Scream Factory putting in the effort to get the rights to only get two of the three films from Trancas. Yes, I know Halloween 5 isn't very well liked, but SF already has a number of extras available from the box set they could use. Not to mention I feel like they learned their lesson in "dismissing" certain titles due to perceived quality, back when they got backlash for dismissing Psycho IV as a title they'd ever release (and eventually released it themselves).

I never customize my boxsets or switch out discs for others (unless they’re official replacements). Just feels... wrong.

Same here.

I never customize/switch out anything, it will trigger my OCD.

Pffft I've customized the hell out of the (formerly) 15 disc box set by adding in the UHD of part one, the 4K remasters of 2+3 (from the steelbooks), the German blu of part 4, and the Halloween 25 Years of Terror documentary DVDs. Nothing wrong with consolidating.

Meh. I refuse to be beholden to the whims of studios when it comes to packaging.

If they were to mess up the colors on these, how would we really know without a separate reference? We had prior 4Ks from SC for the two Carpenter titles. Nothing here.
