I believe Warner did a new 2k scan for this, so it would look infinitely better than that jagged HD master on digital now.

No jaggies on the Itunes HD version. Looks great. But most services like Vudu still only have it in SD which is probably what you are referring to.

They must be on a newer transfer then, and yes it's still SD at most other places. The version I saw on Prime Video a few years ago was in HD, but looked just as bad as the original Lethal Weapon 1&2 BDs.
Funny enough, Amazon now has The Awakening in HD and uses a completely different HD transfer than the old Warner DVD and the new SF Blu. There was a TCM 1080i HDTV out there that used the transfer made for the Warner DVD, but that was riddled with aliasing and analog video noise, suggesting a possible upscale of some sort. |

But I saw One Crazy Summer first, and wore out my taped VHS copy. (I still get that old HBO intro music in my head from time to time.) They're easily my two favorite 80's movies, anyway. |

I love "Better Off Dead", this one is okay. It would be nice if we could get a John Cusack blu-ray collection.
