I saw this last night and it sounded and looked fantastic in Dolby Cinema / the Atmos mix is gorgeous and creepy at times.

Where did you find the release date "October 12" in your OP? Everywhere I've looked online it just says "coming soon" or similar.

PS. I don't know if you missed my question to you in the second post on this thread since I didn't quote you then, so I'm making a second attempt now and quoting you this time.

Briefly considered checking this out today theatrically but decided against it. I don't really want to spend a couple of hours in a theater while this Delta variant is knocking around. I'll just grab the UHD.

Keep dreaming and it might happen! People kept dreaming for "Unbreakable" 4K UHD release, and it's finally happening in a few months!

Unbreakable and Split were very good. Glass wasn't.

The Happening...jesus. The Crappening is a better title.

Split is my favorite movie of his. I really liked the Happening, too. The Lady in the Water? Garbage all the way through

out of (Dolby Theatre)
1/2 out of (Dolby Theatre)

Positives

-thank goodness for 35mm celluloid, there is so much to decipher on close-up shots. and I mean it literally. there are scenes in the movie when Shyamalan literally films right thru the 2 speaking characters. Any digitally shot camera would've completely destroyed these build-up shots to the premise.

-silliness of characters actually works here. to the movies advantage somehow. It has a payoff in the end.

-35mm film literally shines in the opposite direction!. caught me by surprise. when half-submerged camera is turned around from the water looking towards actors and eroding beach. I wasn't ready for this stuff.

-If ABC's LOST ever made a 2 hrs motion picture out series, this is it. "time" stuff is there. weird seismic stuff is there. characters behaving badly is all there. perfect.

-Shyamalamadingdong returns to form. Ending actually works.

NEGATIVES

-Better female lead was desperately needed.

-Good amount of plot holes

I really don't care about reviews. Some of my favorite movies get Bad reviews
I like M. Knight movies that I know Ppl hate. I like his style of film making. Quiet, Slow, Thriller, Terror, Haunting & some of the best Surround Sound out there.

try to see it in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos.

quiet, slow, thriller, terror haunting all there. But more livelier in Dolby screen. I loved it.

We're having hot dogs for dinner at my house tonight, I might wash mine down with some homemade lemon drink.

that's the normal MSRP. It will likely drop to $25-30 on release.
