When you get a chance can you see the running time on your player? We all know running times on covers can be wrong. 1hr 39 / 99 mins is the pg13 cut version, 1hr 43 / 103 mins is the uncut.

I just checked the disc and the running time is 01:43:12 so it is the extended cut which is great!

It's kind of sad that we have two films called The Fog and neither one has anything to do with the James Herbert novel...but then that book is probably unfilmable!

I remember reading the book as a teen & being very confused that it was nothing like the movie...

Same here But then again the film version of The Rats from around the same time as the original version of The Fog bore precious little resemblance to the James Herbert novel, despite claiming to be based on it, so at the time I just figured that's how it was with James Herbert adaptations!

PQ is good, good enough.

There's some funky encoding at times, but sort of the UHD (which also has issues) it's the best UK release.

If you give me an idea of what I should be looking out for next time I watch it, I'll try to confirm.

I was able to confirm the running time above which would seem to indicate it is the longer cut.

Oh I’m not sure what’s in the unrated, never seen it, only seen the dvd release.
