I'd wait for a price drop though. 4K $10 on BF?

MovieZyng has both listed on their website... so that means these are MOD, right? If so, when did they start doing MOD 4K? (the Batman v Superman one doesn't count since it wasn't originally MOD).

If they are MOD, that's why these two don't have slipcovers... and probably will keep them away from the $10 mark for a while if ever.

No slip in the promo picture? Is this a MOD like Batman v Superman IMAX? Guess I should look for a UK import unless they come up with a SteelBook. Yes, I generally want a SteelBook for all my Eastwood directed films.

I also wanted a Richard Jewell 4K. That and the canceled Live By Night (Affleck film) are the two that irked me with the lack of 4K. Especially the latter which was a 4K workflow and had extremely good visuals which would have benefited.

The promo pictures for Reminiscence and King Richard also don't show slips. I guess we'll know soon since Reminiscence comes out in less than 3 weeks.

It really looks as if many of the newly announced Warner US releases are MoD and coming without slip: BvS, Outsiders, Reminiscence, Cry Macho. Looks like a new Warner physical media strategy for selected titles to me.

For moderately successful films it seems we are moving toward a bluray physical release and 4K digital release.

Universal: Let Him Go, Promising Young Woman were bluray only and 4K digitally

You know... I had the mindset that he should stop making movies, but I think more about it and after all he has given, I think he has earned the right to make movies as long as he can.

When passes shit is really going to hit me.

I grew up on Every Which Way But Loose, Escape from Alcatraz, Dirty Harry (and the sequels) and Pink Cadillac as a kid... I didn't really come to appreciate westerns until maybe I was 15 or so. Then In the Line of Fire, The Bridges of Madison County and what followed after that.

It's going to be right there with EVH passing for me. Who didn't record an album after 2011.

While Clint's work has been mixed after Letters, some of the stuff has been decent to solid even though Letters was his last A level film to date.

Atleast this way he gets to give everything he has without wondering if there was something left that simply didn't come to pass.

Eastwood has always been a filmmaker that I can love and hate at the same time. His more recent flops don't really bother me, because as you said, he as kind of earned his right to make whatever the heck he wants. It's OKAY for some of his films not to be made for me/you/certain audiences, because I am sure someone out there liked this one.

I loved The Mule and hated Cry Macho. I will continue to watch his new films and I am okay with not liking them all, it doesn't bother me in the slightest and it doesn't tarnish the great films that he has already made -- they're still great.

The last film of his that I saw was Sully. I'm not interested in seeing a nude 86 year old man and so I skipped The Mule.

I do wish he would stop pushing himself as a sex symbol though. I know he is still trying to live up the image, but it's ok to let some of that go Clint.

Agreed. I'd rather have a large catalogue of hits and misses than a whole lot of unmade projects that could've been good. Clint doesn't need to bow and scrape for financing, and that's a unique position for him to be in.

I hope he has just one more instant classic in him before he finishes up.

Clint Eastwood is the type of person who doesn't want to get old, and he's got too much pride to retire because he want to prove to the world that he can still do the things he use to but he's not able to, and he knows it. I'm afraid that one of these days somebody is going to find him on a movie set where he had passed away, instead of being at home enjoying his last days with his family. He's 91 years for Pete sakes, and he's still trying to make movies? I'm quite sure he doesn't need the money because he should be filthy rich...It's ridiculous!

Maybe he is one of those folks that does realize his age, but some folks believe that when you stop going... That's when you die.

It's not always about the money. When my dad lost his leg and couldn't work anymore he got depressed. His SS was pretty decent, but not being able to work bothered him.

Some of the older folks is that way.

Shatner just went into space at age 90. If he can still make movies, why not? The only part of this that didn't really work was when he fought the guy and won. That wasn't really believable.

IMHO I don't believe it's an ego or money thing, truly think he just loves what he does. If you love to do something so much why give it up to die playing shuffleboard?
