I wonder if we will end up getting an entire Marvel Universe series of games from Insomniac maybe even a few cross overs.

Wolverine and Punisher are my two favorite comic book characters. I know Insomniac will deliver, and a Punisher game would be nice as well.

I'd like to see a Blade game by 2023 or so alongside the new movie on the way around that time hopefully.

Wolverine is in good hands with Insomniac's talent thankfully.

I'd actually love to see Insomniac probably tackle Blade next. The potential for that as an open world games pretty huge too. However i feel like Insomniac are probably going to end up getting the X Men hopefully.

I'd say holiday 2024 maybe. 2025 more likely.

Yeah this is definitely a 2024 or later game. While its exciting to know about it, its definitely a case of Sony continuing to reveal games WAY too soon. Now if it was revealed because they thought it would leak soon then I understand.

There is word that Insomniac has 2 teams working on games.
A team for Spider-Man 2, and a team for Wolverine (the team that worked on Miles game). That would allow SM2 in 2023, and Wolverine in 2024.

An X-Men Insomniac game would be very cool, yes.

I need to start making a list of games that I'm interested in when the announcements drop. I find myself forgetting about what looked good at the time, then a year or two goes by and I rediscover it.

I can imagine a town where Wolverine can explore, but I would be really surprised if they made a game where Wolverine is just hanging out going on missions, or doing side quests. Maybe it could be like Arkham Knight if it went the route of open city, town or map.

A list is a good idea with long developed games these days. Little Devil Inside, that game seems to be a perpetually developed game since 2015 or so. Especially for smaller games that slip through the cracks, like digital only games that often release without any announcements or release dates. They just show up on the PS store one day with little notice.
At least that was true on the PS4 for a good while.

Wolverine is one of my favorite Marvel characters so I’m so excited for this one! Hoping it’s more story than open world though, I don’t think an open world game would really fit the character like it does for Spider-Man. And of course since it’s Insomniac I’m super excited for all the eventual teases of a crossover.

Oh come on. Dont try to downplay this. The hype is deserved because A.) This was totally unexpected. B.) We havent had a Wolverine game in a long time (let alone a good one) and C.) This isn't being made by some Jack leg 343 studio. Insomniac getting this IP is huge because of their reputation as a great developer and how great they handled the Spider-Man game. This game alone will sell a shitload of PS5's.

Maybe you can manually flip out your claws and manually retract your claws freely instead of only when you press the attack buttons.

I'd like to be able to go up to a sign post and slice it apart. And boxes, crates, bar stools, tables, lights, chairs, windows, car tires, doors, pretty much anything in sight could be shredded apart by Wolverine.

Maybe he'll have a rage mode, where he gets ultra strong to do extra damage against enemies.

His health will need to regenerate on its own. No health meter, but just see his visible wounds healing while resting or in combat and avoiding more damage. I hope this is the Logan where he already has the ultra metal skeleton. Adamantium I think it's called.

I'd like Logan to be able to climb the sides of buildings with his claws. Jamming them into the brick walls like it was butter.

That would work, along with Kryptonite enemies to weaken Superman.

For Wolverine, there's a chance Insomniac will offer an M Rated bloody video game based on the CGI teaser trailer where he has bloody hands. Why show blood at all if they didn't intend to have blood in their game?

Insomniac's Wolverine will hopefully be M Rated. So like the kick@ss movie Logan, things can get gory.

Or they could go with the sanitized X-Men movie versions approach to blood prior to that. No blood.

What would sell more units? Rockstar Games proves an M Rated game can sell 120 million units, so it doesn't matter if it's M for Mature or T for teen.

Thought the PS3 Uncaged game was amazing! How can this not be amazing with all the blood, guts, and gore!?

What we need is a good Deadpool game. We already have a good Wolverine game. Don't understand how Deadpool got a remaster when it was not that good and Wolverine didn't get a remaster. Ya I know Deadpool was rereleased coz of the movie, but still Wolverine should get a remaster.

The Insomniac Creative Director confirmed Marvel’s Wolverine will be rated M & will be a Mature Narrative game also.

Looks gory, nicely done there for a Wolverine Game. That will be easy to match for Insomniac if they want to go the gory route hopefully.

It wouldn't have to have characters ripped in two necessarily, but it should show blood flowing. Of course that would be something if it tried to top that game's gore factor.

Unfortunately for Insomniac loads of in development footage of the game has been leaked after a cyber attack last week.

The leak also revealed that the game is penciled in for release in 2026.
