Really wish it had some live video footage, though.

I would love for them to do something similar with other albums - particularly the pre-Alive! era - but sadly this is the only album they ever really focus on.
For live video stuff you want the Kissology box sets. Tons of live footage.

100% true. Luckily, I have all 3 of them.

Yes, I have all 3 with the bonus discs. But there's more out there. And something on blu-ray would be fun.

Still waiting for this to ship from the KISS store.

I have a tracking number ( that was provided days after the release date ) but it’s hasn’t even been handed off to the post office yet.

I was excited to get it. Now I’m just feeling like whatever, it will get here when it does. And then. When I have it in hand, I’m hoping I’ll be like a kid again opening a new KISS record. Can’t wait to play that surround mix.

This came out way too late. I am already "KISSed" out. Now, if they ever release a 4k video, I just may be interested in that.

I've had this for a week now and I've really enjoyed it. The blu-ray audio has a lot of options. Atmos, Dolby Tru Master, DTS and a hi-res stereo track. I can't comment on the ATMOS track.

I think the DTS track is great. It's got a nice dynamic sound. The stereo track sounds great too when I set my receiver to 5 channel stereo.

The extras will stay in the box. The book is quite informative and has a lot of quotes from all four Kiss members, Bob Ezrin and the engineer.

The demos disc is actually pretty cool to see where some of these songs started from. There's some demos that are instrumentals. They're really cool too because there's a lot of music under the vocals that you never got to hear before. I honestly didn't think I'd like this set as much as I do and I've been a fan since 1977.

Some people think that. I kind of thought so until I got it and went through it. Now, it's worth it to me. The album will never sound better.

Agree, i got mine last Saturday from recordstore.co.uk
They messed up my first order 10% off but apart from that very very happy with it, lots of extras, love the diagram of the stage (thinking of getting it blown up to frame), the book is very good too

Side note this months classic rock has a goo section on Destroyer with 20 things you never knew about Destroyer

Best thing so far are the instrumentals, never realise how good rock music is until you hear what goes on behind the vocals
It also shows bands like this do not get anywhere near the plaudits they deserve for not just vocal abilities but how damn well they can play

So glad i got it, now roll on February for the Pulse re release

I don't care about anything in that box set except for the Atmos disc. Any way to get it by itself? What would be the price?

Santa brought me this box set for Christmas and I am really enjoying the 5.1 mix and paper goodies. The live show could be better but all around I am happy with the set and look forward to future releases.
