Just saw the new artwork at fnac and lol at this being the 3rd iteration by now. Especially since they most likely should better focus on the encoding instead.

So, has anyone got this disc yet. If so, can you confirm if it has forced subtitles, if it has English audio, and if it includes the additional footage (missing on the current US release)??? Thank you.

That "(optional)" could very likely be for the included BD, not the 4K though, just like Sex, Lies, and Videotape.

Same studio and that was confirmed to have forced French subtitles on the 4K disc and optional ones on the BD. I suspect the same for this.

Yeah, this is weird. Every previous release, including the US UHD, has been 1.85:1.

It's just poor info, the same way the French subtitles are listed as "optional". It's 1.85.

Since the subs can be moved with the shift feature on some players then they're obviously not burned in. So yes, you can just remove the stream.

Just go to the options menu, where you can manually select the subs (which you cannot change with this one indeed though) and move them down via the according shift option in the same menu until they are gone. (-25 or something does the trick with this one, but you'll see that yourself)

Didn't work with Bridget, since the subs alternate the location with that one (i.e. appear at the top and/or at the bottom), but works with this one, since they are bottom only from what I've seen so far.

Generally, studios that actually bother to place the subtitles inside the image frame will also bother to move them around so to not obscure something on screen. If a part of them or, God forbid, the entirety of them is placed inside the bottom black bar, they probably just threw them on the disc without much thought and they remain in that position throughout the movie.

Obviously, this movie is 1.85 so the black bars are very small, but you can still kinda tell based on their position if they'll move or not.
