If you can up the ante about 50 bucks, you can score a Harmony 1000 touchscreen remote for around $350.00, on e-bay (new)......Def

Who cares that they are not Bluetooth

You can still get them to work with the PS3..

So just to clarify, are we all saying that if we have a PS3, along with other normal devices (DVD, Cable Box, VCR, TV, etc) and we want one that will work with a touch of the button to go from watching cable on your TV to watching a blu-ray movie on your PS3 & being able to control the PS3, the Harmony 890 will work?

Not exactly. The PS3 only uses bluetooth for its remote interface. The Harmony 890 uses IR and RF, but not bluetooth. You have to use some other device to convert your remote's IR commands into bluetooth that can be received by the PS3. See the following threads for more info.

You don't need an 890 for this. Any Harmony remote can be made to work with a PS3, but you can save some money and go with a Harmony model that does IR only, such as the One or 880. PM sent.

The MX-500 Home Theater Master Remote Control changed my life.

I'm sure they even have an updated one. If you like hard keys, Home Theater Master is the way to go.

If you prefer a touch screen, get that Harmony thing everyone seems to like.

I prefer hard keys and an evenly weighted remote and I don't really like the way logitecs feel.
If you are into the fine art of remote twirling, you are guaranteed triples with the MX-500.

Any harmony remote + a PS3Toothfairy will control everything you have.

The 550 is really all you need. Feel free to spend more if you desire more bells and whistles.

I love my Harmony One. It's easy to setup and operate. I've had it for a couple of months now and, after a few tweaks, finally have it where I want it. I bought the Nyko remote to control the PS3 and it works pretty well with the exception of turning it on and off. I just keep the PS3 controller on my table and hit the PS button to turn it on.

Logitech is currently working on a solution allowing for full operation of the PS3 (without a dongle), but it's been a while since I've seen any news of that. The story broke when someone saw their FCC application.

That device just became available on Amazon for $60. It's also already being discussed in an existing thread here.
