A variant on the art of "shopdropping". I've done it before. Shopdropping is better, make fake HD-DVD cases (with titles like "The Future is Blu") and leave them in the stores.

I might do a shopdropping run sometime. It gets fun.

LoL I love it, I'll have to give that one a go! If anyone comes up with the picture art I'll waste an HD-DVD case for that heh.

You might have better luck if you email them saying that you find it confusing to have two hi def options and that they need to remove the confusion by removing HD DVD.

I think you are absolutely right. CC and Toshiba had a long-running spat over the fact that Toshiba didn't allow RTV (return-to-vendor) on their products. Even if it was defective, Toshiba demanded it be serviced, and not returned to them. (Panasonic did the same thing, but I think their policy has since changed.)

So unless Tosh recalls their players (not likely) and the studios recall their movies (even less likely, unless you're Paramount ) then the best we can do is e-mail the stores and beg them to go Blu exclusive so they realize the consumer demand.

I was in Best Buy yesterday and some hot MILF was buying some small HDTV but was asking about HD and Blu and I heard the guy telling her not to go HD because its about to be no more haha. Thank god, cause if that fool woulda told her HD I woulda slapped him and took her to the crib and put on a blu and done her straight ra- errrrr ... but uhm yeah, least the retail folks are doing their job.
