Yeah I was pretty disappointed by that one too. Great atmosphere too, but it was just wasted.

For those that go, it would be interesting to hear how well-attended they are. See if it's popular enough that they may do it again next year, or have a Christmas series later this year.

I might go to
[Show spoiler]Halloween 2018
. I thought for sure the
[Show spoiler]1978
version would be included. They're mostly all recent studio movies that I saw in theater when they came out, and I own most of them. I was hoping for more classic stuff, like
[Show spoiler]Return of the Living Dead and Re-Animator
.

You can see seat reservations online through Fandango, Atom, AMC, and others. At least here in NYC tickets are selling really well for these events. Train to Busan was I'd say at least 85% sold out.

Here's what it currently looks like for Friday's screening in 2 theaters here. It'll fill up more for sure too.

My theaters have been virtually empty for these screenings.

I can't see spending the time or money without knowing if it's a movie I actually want to see. But I've checked the seat maps right before showtime and there have only been a couple seats taken.

I do wish I had seen Train to Busan on the big screen though. But I am sure if I ever take the chance it will end up being something I have no interest in.

The monthly mystery screenings at Cinemark theaters seem to be killing it right now versus this new horror promo at AMC.

Tremors (June)
The Burbs (July)
An American Werewolf in London (August)
Out of Sight (September)
Halloween III (October)

that'd be great if not for the fact that the only theaters within 45 minute drive of me are all AMC. I am not driving an hour and a half round trip without knowing what I am seeing.

plus, i am already paying for A-List, I cant see myself paying for movie tickets beyond that (thats why I also skip all Fathom events retro movies even if I'd like to see them. They need to make those eligible!)

They don't even have this at the AMCs near me. Looks like only the two or three biggest ones in the Philly area have it.

Question

I noticed that there's one of these this Friday, Dec. 10.

No rating listed, runtime is 1:46.

Any ideas / info? My first thought was Krampus, but that's 1:38. The Thing (1984) is 1:49.

It is probably either Gremlins or Misery. Based on the runtime.

Yeah, Gremlins seems more likely.

If it was "Krampus", it would be cool if it was the Naughty Cut.

If it does turn out to be "Gremlins", I'll be fine missing it as the New Beverly is showing it and the superior "New Batch" on the 22nd.
