i think both covers are pretty weak. picking up the cheap blu ray steel from Wal-Mart a couple years ago was a much better choice. i saw this thread & thought cool. oops.

The slip is fire, but the steelbook is trash.

Great concept, poor execution. It would be nice to know if the other two films will be getting matching steels. If this is a stand alone, which I suspect it is since they announced this and nothing on Begins, it’s an easy pass for me. Love the film though.

I'm loving the response to this in here... just means I'll have no problems picking up this bad ass looking steelbook!

I love the slipcover with the actual steelbook art, it is fully reminiscent of the beginning of the movie when he says "whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you *removes mask* stranger"

I have bought this movie far too many times!

I'm with you. I really like it but I am worried it will be a streaky matte finish.

I held off this entire time in hopes of a 4k steelbook release of all 3 movies.

I'm passing on this terrible design & just going to buy the blu-ray steels off ebay and add the 4k discs.

What a disappointment.

Woah, that's lazy as hell! They didn't even "change the homework" even a little bit!

The idea of a slipcover adding to the art of the steelbook - like in American Psycho - is a neat idea and I would have liked TDK steelbook be a clean joker face with a slipcover that gave him a disheveled, post-interrogation scene look.

I am definitely not a fan of this artwork. I think it's kind of bad to be honest.

But I am glad that WB is including slipcovers with their steelbooks like Lionsgate. Hopefully this trend continues.

I dig it! I think it'll look really nice in person, too- that white slipcover is really gonna pop on the shelf. My only gripe is that the logo isn't really needed on the steel itself; kinda detracts from the Joker image. I'm digging the recent trend of the slipcovers that provide a different image than the actual cover. Definitely hope they get around to doing Begins and Rises, too- if they did the same mask slipcover with, say, Scarecrow and Batman, I'd die (even if the former isn't very likely).

It could potentially look nicer in person. Like if the HA HA HA words are spot gloss, similar to Arrow's words on the Blood and Black Lace SB, then it would look nicer. Still not feeling the clown slip though.

It would be kind of cool to have one for Batman / Bruce Wayne. How crazy would it have been to have two Christian Bale mask Steelbooks?
