I just finished the demo. Solid Souls knock off. Might get it eventually but not something I'll need to play right away.

You did all the demo in 30-40 mins? Damn I must suck.

So far am liking this quite a bit. Definitely a Bloodborne vibe 100%. That fairground/parade boss thing is cool. Style is great if you’re into this vibe. So far so good.

I don’t normally play Souls-Borne games, but I’ll give this a shot since it’s dropping onto Game Pass.

It would be more accurate for me to say that "I am finished" with it as opposed to having actually finished it. I just wanted to play enough to get the mechanics down and see how it performed on PC without spoiling too much of the game.

btw I had no idea this was coming to GamePass, so I'll definitely play it at launch now. I had let my GP lapse but I just got another 3 years thanks to the Gold trick so this should be a nice placeholder game until Starfield comes out.

So demo impressions, it was long! It was just over 4 hours, there's more than one boss and setting in it and it's great. I'm not sure how I feel about needing to remember to use a grinder mechanic to repair a weapon constantly but I'm sure it'll be fine. And you can probably mitigate it in other ways later on in the game.

Also you can only bring in npc summons to assist in boss fights if you have a particular consumable. For me that makes it harder than a typical Souls game for those who use summoning help as eventually you won't be able to if this works the way I think.

Speaking of which I couldn't beat the last boss without summoning a phantom to assist. I know there's an easier way to do it solo, there always is, but it's a puzzle for another time, it was a decent challenge.

I liked the demo and was enjoying the train station fights against the mechanical station agents. Everything was going well and then I got slaughtered in 10 seconds by the final boss. Should a first boss be so difficult? I guess this game is specifically for the ultra difficulty setting gamers. Cool style to the game though with those mechanical characters.

Yes they should be or at least seem difficult, But he wasn't. You just have to get the blocking down, learn boss movements and it becomes simple.

I like the look of this, but it's definitely a down the road purchase for me. These games are difficult to sometimes get into and complete on one run because of the Souls style system they employ for difficulty.
