I don't get why this steelbook wasn't released on the same day as the regular 4K release in 2020.

So quick question for everyone. I do not want to miss this steelbook but I want to do a curbside pick up. If I pre-order it now will BB let me switch to curbside pick up on Tuesday? Right now the only option for pre-order is to have it shipped which I don't want to do unless I have to because it might get damaged.

if you order now, more than likely this will ship before an in store pick up option becomes available.

tyrok did post a picture of the product, so you may be able to order a copy for ISPU at 1am EST the day of release...

Correct me if I’m wrong, but even though some have eventually sold out, so far haven’t all of the Lionsgate steelbooks been available in store on release day? I don’t recall any of the supposed supply chain issues with any of them.

so far yes... that's why i mentioned tyrok's picture...
tyrok works for Best Buy so if he posts a picture, that means at least some stores have received stock and should be available on release day...

Best Buy for a good majority of the recent steelbooks have done away with the ISPU option prior to release day...

Lionsgate titles are currently being distributed through Sony, and they have been pretty good in getting their stock in stores. Lionsgate/Sony SteelBooks are very likely to be in stores.

To get people to double dip. I'm sure some people bought the regular 4k AND will also buy the steelbook. I'm content with my cheap BF slip version personally ha.
