Discotek haven’t really shown an interest in digital copies. Most of their titles are available for streaming through RetroCrush for free. Although some titles (including Angel Cop) are locked behind a paywall.

Really hoping this release means Discotek will do more steels. They announced they're doing Konosuba

City Hunter, Lupin the 3rd, Wicked City, Demon City Shinjuku, and Zeiram would be sweet to see in steels.

Kinda disappointed I got the original BD but the Steelbook is nice and wasn't overpriced. Hopefully we can see some more anime classic get some love.

The steelbook is not an upscale and is a true HD transfer, so the image quality is superior to the earlier Angel Cop blu ray release. It's a bit pricey but the steelbook really is the version you want if you want Angel Cop in proper HD. I have it and I'm happy with how good it looks.

That is great.

Angel Cop was one of the first non-mainstream animes I purchased myself at a Suncoast Video in a city mall so it holds a sweet spot for me.

Def will have to get this version then. Sad it is so few episodes.
