Extremely happy about this news that the Netflix shows and Agents Of Shield are going to Disney Plus in the U.S. and not Hulu along with the new parental controls.

At least they'll still be in 4K. When HBO Max moved the DCU content, they reverted to HD.

Pumped to finally rewatch Daredevil in 4K, I didn’t have a 4K tv or Netflix when it originally came out so this’ll be the best it’s ever looked for me

HBO Max is lite on 4K content because of their ties to AT&T and their inclusion in mobile streaming/home Internet packages. Only select marquis titles will be available in that resolution, while everything else is SD/HD.

All I want to know is if they are going to list them under the "MCU In Timeline Order," section on D+. If they don't, that says to me they don't consider them canon.

I don't wish to support massive mergers but the sooner WarnerMedia leaves AT&T, the better.

I haven't watched all of them, but my understanding is that the Defenders series is largely set apart from the movies.

Then I highly recommend you check out the following:

Ozark
Mindhunter
You
Narcos
Black Mirror
The Queen's Gambit
Love, Death & Robots
Castlevania

Marvel used to be split into two branches, Marvel Studios which handled the movies and then Marvel TV which produced all of the TV output from ABC/Freeform, Netflix, and Hulu... Jeph Loeb ran Marvel TV and Feige was over the films. Then Marvel closed down the TV sector and put Feige in charge of all Marvel, before that he didn't have any control over the shows. This is why people don't really group the TV shows into the larger MCU, they didn't consult each other. This also explains why something as big as Inhumans being 'activated' or the New York stuff in Defenders on the TV side never had an impact on the movies or Thanos didn't have an impact on TV.

Obviously, this could be retconned if they wanted. So we'll have to see. Right now everybody's assuming Matt Murdoch and Kingpin being in Hawkeye and NWH mean they're the same, but it could be simply using fan-favorite casting for new MCU versions now that the multiverse is coming into play. Plus to me, Kingpin seemed like a different version. Though I believe Agents of SHIELD could be in the MCU easier due to the timeline hopping they were doing in the final season, and Agent Carter existed in the pre-Steve returns timeline.

If they're doing parental controls, then it shouldn't be edited. Though this goes exactly against their whole "we won't ever put TVMA stuff on Disney+!" stance they had before.

They aren’t

When opening Disney+ for the first time on or after March 16, all subscribers in the U.S. will be prompted to update their Parental Controls. This includes the option to select content ratings restrictions for each profile, add a PIN to lock profiles, and enable a Kid-Proof Exit feature to prevent viewers from leaving their Kids Profile without completing an exit challenge.

Those that choose to keep their settings the same will continue to have access to a TV-14 content rating environment, with the option to make changes at any time under Profile settings.

As much as I loved AoS, it's not canon in MCU-proper since a lot of things contradict the "Sacred Timeline" per se.

Having said that, they can connect it to Steve's alt-timeline which would explain the differences, and, in my opinion, why Project Tahiti existed in the first place.
[Show spoiler]I mean, how did Coulson work on an experiment to bring back a "fallen Avenger" when there were no Avengers back then? They could explain this as Steve asking Shield to anticipate bringing back the only "fallen Avenger" to date: Tony Stark (whom Coulson always had an eye on).

(Feige, if you're reading this, I have more ideas

Maybe, but also the Netflix shows would contradict the D+ ones because Luke Cage and Cloak and Dagger existed in the same universe, Luke Cage s1 events were directly referenced in C&D season 2 and then C&D had a crossover with Runaways... and Runaways has the same Darkhold as AoS which is different than the one from WandaVision.

I'm just going with the Loeb shows and Feige shows are two separate universes. It helps my sanity. lol

It's pretty clearly a one-way connection. The shows connect to the MCU, the MCU doesn't connect to the shows. Now that the Netflix shows and AoS are on Disney, we can even see how Disney categorized them: The Disney+ shows are in the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" category, but the Netflix shows, AoS, and X-Men movies are not.

Other than the shows Disney actually released on bluray thank god for Jolly Roger!

Disney didn't even finish Daredevil with a release and nothing for Season Two of Jessica Jones.
