Grease, Grease 2, and that recent Grease Live.........

Could they do a 6 episode streaming show based around Grease?

Dont use the same characters but base it in the same high school in the late 50's.
Songs and drama.......West Side Story-esque.
Meticulous attention to clothing and brands.
Set Design like WSS.
Whats the last 50's based project.
Classic Rock N Roll w/ the Off-Broadway/B'Way songs.

I dunno....Im fine w/ it being left alone.

Lord of the Rings - although Amazon is taking the the first shot at it.
Jaws
E.T.(as mentioned above)
Back to the Future - thankfully no one can screw with it thanks to Bob Zemeckis blocking the IP-milkers from doing anything of the sort.
The Godfather

I might think of more but those are some big ones.
Did you stop after the first movie?

As you wish:

Coming to Paramount+ soon:

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies

& a prequel movie entitled Summer Lovin’ has been in the works at Paramount since April 2019 (though this might be the same as he above).

Safe to say the stage version is still playing somewhere... Grease is already being well milked.

I dont count high school plays as a "milked" situation.

I'd like to see more of Disney-Pixar's Onward. The filmmakers created such an awesome world and characters with that movie that I think it would be a waste not to use them again in a future movie or even a Disney+ series.

The older brother Barley was taking a gap year between high school and college, so a sequel or series could be centered around him "leaving the nest" and adjusting to college life.

Jaws was definitely milked dry by the 4th movie, and even though the franchise has been left fallow for 30+ years, all of those low-budget Sharknado movies would probably make a new Jaws film not very viable.

There's a new Fletch movie coming with Jon Hamm which I'm excited about because there's a franchise with a lot of potential that wasn't fully exploited by the two Chevy Chase films (both of which I love).

With the recent success of the Halloween and Scream franchises it seems like a no brainer to make more Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street films. Bring back Robert Englund as Freddy. He’s 74 now, but with all of the prosthetics and makeup used for his character it doesn’t matter.

True. I guess I feel like there’s more milk in those udders. It has been well over a decade for both franchises…

Back to the Future has to be the biggest pop culture touchstone franchise that has been left unschathed.

TRON has had precious little new content over the last 40 years.

I’ll mention The Incredibles also. 14 years to make one sequel.

It might matter to Englund. He wasn't a fan of the makeup when he was younger, and I can't imagine his opinion has changed.

Yeah, Englund is all set with Freddy as he should be. He put an indelible mark on cinema as Freddy with the og franchise and the vs. film. I actually find it more cringe seeing over the hill actors trying to reclaim their former glory.
