They'll probably do that closer to the time. I suppose this could tide me over until Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is released.

Can’t wait for this

I remember thinking ‘what the hell am I playing’ at first, but when it clicked it clicked hard. also the CG cutscenes were pure eye candy, as far as my eyes were concerned, I was watching 4k video on the 200p(?) psp screen

I don't see anything mentioned on Amazon, Best Buy or Gamestop. It'll probably take a couple of days to get added.

Target, Amazon and Gamestop pages have all been updated to show the materia pre-order bonus only so I’m guessing the steelbook will end up a Best Buy exclusive.

That's a nice looking steelbook, i do agree. However, GAME exclusive in the UK kills it lol. Hope they still have it on there for a deep discount.

I saw the trailer for this and it does look like a solid game but the graphics i dunno, it felt a little bit lesser than FF7 Remake did for some reason. Just like slightly lower and jankier animation in places.

I'll definitely look to play this and really glad FF7 is getting the full resurgence as i never got to play it in the original hey dey, so this is like that new experience for me personally.

It’s a remaster of a PSP game, I’d say it looks phenomenal for what it is personally.

Seeing multiple similar comments about the GAME exclusivity around online…is GAME the evil Shinra company?

It’s hard to describe GAME to people who haven’t had to experience them. It’s just the worst shopping experience you can have, always with the hard sell of anything and everything they possibly can. They’re always the most expensive place to buy stuff from. Their pre owned games usually cost more than I could buy a game brand new.

They used to have a horrible habit of opening brand new games and filing the discs away in drawers and then using the empty cases to display on the shelf. Then when you buy it they would put the disc and manual back in then put a special GAME sticker seal on it similar to the seal on Xbox games so that they knew if you had opened it so you couldn’t take it back for a refund if it was split….

This of course led to the issue where you no longer knew if you were buying a new or used game because nothing was factory sealed. For all you know they were just selling you pre owned games and telling you they were brand new.

They are pretty much only around now because they were bailed out of bankruptcy and exist because older parents and grandparents who don’t know any better go there to buy stuff they have no clue about.

They pretty much killed off the independent games stores and bought out the competition. There was a point when they had 4 or 5 GAME stores in one town centre. There used to be about 10 within a 15mile radius where I live. They are a cancer that killed off all the good high street game retailers then went under because of their own greed and now are scrapping by because they closed up hundreds of their shops and fired hundreds of employees.

To add context they used to be known as Electronics Boutique and they were the bees knees of gaming retailers back in the day. They used to have a great returns policy which ended up being scrapped because you could literally buy a game play it to completion within the return window then take it back and trade it for another game without having to pay a penny. It was the best time in gaming for an entire generation that was. Now we’re all old and salty that it all changed for the worst.

I only ever tried returning one game to Electronics Boutique back in the day as a kid. Manager wasn't having any of it... probably because I was a kid.

We had 4 (5 if you include Gamestation which they bought) in our city, including one in Debenhams, for some reason, and obviously they all disappeared.

I actually preferred Gamestation, browsing through stuff, often pretty decent prices.

I remember one time, I was in GAME with my friend, and we were discussing prices and stuff, and suddenly this employee who was putting stuff on the shelf was like "NO RETURNS". Thanks lady, for that bit of wonderful advice, which I wasn't discussing with you.

Back onto Crisis Core, it's obviously not a full blown remake, but I'd call it an enhanced remaster, because it does look really good. I figured they'd have to do it at some point

I might wait a day and see if they update with their usual “includes one free item” verbiage. I’ve seen people complain that their exiting pre-orders from Best Buy didn’t get bonuses that were confirmed after their order date.

Got my preorder in before work this morning. I happened to refresh the page on my phone and saw it and checked out instantly.

I see that the Switch version includes the Steelbook but they don't advertise it as being the same size as Switch cases. Wonder what's up with that?

Maybe the same logic in collector’s editions that come with a steelbook even though the game is digital code? Looking at you Horizon.

Wario64 posted updated pics which show the interior and back. There's also a smaller Steelbook for the Switch. I saw this right after my previous post.

https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/1573407389738377218

I'm so glad the interior uses the artwork from the PSP cover. I was hoping that would be the front but this is better than nothing.
