Probably my favorite movie/set of movies that I never picked up for some reason. I have no idea why ha.

Would gladly purchase the set day 1 on DVD 4k!

I can confirm that ROCKY BALBOA (2006) just underwent a completely new scan of the original camera negative. This is just in the last few weeks.

Hoping he doesn't try to rewrite history and we get an alternate ending for Balboa and the new Rocky IV instead of the originals. Give me the originals first and the alternate ending as a deleted scene. For Rocky IV, a 2nd disc.

According to IMDb, Warner Bros controls the physical media distribution rights for all the Rocky films as of 2020, with the designation "reprint by MGM". MGM might be remastering these in-house and releasing them on disc through Warner, kinda like the first Mad Max.

It would be highly unusual for Warner to just put out Balboa on 4K when they have the rights for all films, plus 4K HDR masters exist for Rocky and the DC of Rocky IV.

Can't wait for that Rocky 2 & 3 remaster!! If the Rocky 4 DC sound mix is anything to go by, I'm expecting equivalent quality!

MGM owns these movies, Warners simply became MGM’s home video distributor a couple of years ago. So it’s going through them.
