Paramount is really stepping up their game here!

Guess they took some pointers from Scream Factory.

Not the biggest fan of this franchise but this is absolutely tempting. Very Scream Factory-esque.

That box looks sexy. I just might double dip.

I dig most of the films in this franchise. I thoroughly enjoyed Next of Kin last year. I'd like to get this, I'll have to wait and see what else is coming in October before deciding on this one.

Yes! I'm pretty "some are fun - some are bad" on the series, but this set is nice and I do wanna own it! And each one in it's own case? So I can pick up future installments without it looking funky? OH LORDI LORD!

I’ve never seen any of these and I’m a horror fan. Is this worth getting?

I already have the films on DVD(films 1-2) and Blu Ray(the rest).I don't have Paramount + so I haven't seen Paranormal Activity Next Of Kin or this documentry but I would of bought a standalone blind buy of Next of Kin.But I'm not double dipping on the whole series just to get the one movie.Unless there is a eventual standalone release in the U.S(right now I don't really want to import) even on DVD,I'll never see it.I'm passing on this.I got too many other releases coming to rebuy this whole series..

The box cover keeps reminding me of an X-Files or Outer Limits poster, haha, but I can’t even be pretend mad at Paramount during this absolutely stellar home video renaissance they’re having.

I’d be in if all cuts were included AND that bizarro iTunes cut that combined PAs 1-3, a version no longer available there.

If you're into found footage horror, then yes. I enjoy them all, although some are better than others. I own the SS release of the first film, and the 6 film set. I already locked in my preorder for the new set. So, I guess you could say i'm a fan of the series.

The one thing the set is missing is the Japanese Sequel which has never gotten an English release.

I'd hate to buy this set just to get one movie I don't have, and then have Paramount pull the same crap with the 8th film once it's released exclusively in another boxset down the road.

I think I'm going to wait on this release.

I’m such a sucker for matching spines. You win this round, Paramount.

I kept thinking basically the same thing when I first saw the cover last night, that it looked like it was some new X-Files repackage

Just watched the Unknown Dimension documentary. It's actually really refreshing to hear people so involved in the franchise to just straight up say how bad some installments are. Given it's still an active franchise, I was taken aback a little.

Comforting to know that pretty much everyone involved also thinks Ghost Dimension is terrible.

I really like all the movies in the franchise and don't think any of them are bad.

Thumbs down

- I already have the 1 - 6 collection.

- Doesn't include Tokyo Night.

- Looks like a shelf hog.

One more movie, and a doc, doesn't make this set worth it to me. Pass.

Paramount seems to have taken a page out of Shout Factory's book with their boxset of this.

I think I may be picking this up before it sells out.

Tokyo Night is non-canon and not considered an official part of the PA franchise. Plus, we don't know if Paramount could even get it if they wanted to include it.

Well, I’m sucker for collections like this so it’s pretty much a sure thing I’m going to buy it. My only gripe is that PA 8 is due next year, SOOOO I’m assuming I’ll probably triple dip in the future for the ultimate ultimate collection.

I had forgotten about the Chronology Cut of 1-3. Was this ever released in HD? A while back I went looking for this cut and was able to locate a 480p copy which I have yet to watch due to its 4 Hour and 36 minute run time but I agree that it absolutely should have been included as an extra disc (along with the Festival cut of part 1).

I know that years ago when I was doing some digging regarding parts 1 and 3, I had also found comments/evidence to suggest that part 3 had a completely different cut of that film completed as well at the same time as the version we got that has what I believe to be is a different storyline and outcome much like how the Festival cut for the original film differed from the version we ended up with in theaters. The very first teaser trailer for part 3 appeared to use a good amount of that footage and it became a minor obsession of mine for a short time. (Now that I think about it, perhaps the chronology cut of PA 1-3 uses some of that alternative footage, I'll have to give it a watch soon to check).

With this having a $67.99 price tag on Amazon for the moment (which I assume is MSRP), if it gets the standard 17 -23% discount, that will place it in the $55 - $58 Dollar range before tax which isn't too bad for a 9 disc, 7 film release.

One thing I am curious about is how limited is Paramount's idea of "Limited Edition"? Are we still in the days where they consider 15,000 - 20,000 units limited? Or is this going to be a 10,00 units or less production run? Either way I'm not taking my chances and locked in a pre-order last night.
